“Such a good little Fae.” I said as I slipped one finger and then another inside her.

I knew she’d be sore but I wanted to feel her muscles contract, wanted to feel every bit of her body reacting when I made her cum.

“Fain.” She gasped.

I curled my fingers, teasing the part deep inside that I knew would make her writhe. And she did. So much that I had to hold her down with one hand. I wasn’t done with her yet, and until she’d climaxed, she was mine.

All mine.

I sucked at her clit again, teased my tongue over it.

She arched her back, all but shoved her pussy into my face. Her hands gripped the sheets. Her body went tense and as I watched her face flush redder and redder I could pinpoint the exact moment she broke.

Her screams were like a symphony. Her body rippled in my grasp. I could taste her cum as it dripped out right onto my tongue and I lapped it up.

“Oh fuck.” She gasped sinking back onto the pillows.

I stayed where I was, right between paradise, as I watched her get her breath back.

“Was I right?” I said.

She shook her head before covering her face with her hands and giggled.

I crawled up her body, pulling her back into my arms. She lay still tracing the scars on my chest.

“War wounds.” I murmured.

She looked back up at me. “How long have you been in charge of his army?”

“Six years. Though I’ve spent most of my life as a soldier.”

“Do you mind it?”

I shrugged. “We all have our parts to play.”

She nodded before burying her face back in my chest. “You’re sure he won’t throw you in the dungeons?”

“No. But I might to get some shut eye.” I teased.

She laughed. “You woke me up.”

“Yeah? And by the sounds you were making I don’t think you were complaining.”

She gasped half shocked and I wrapped my arms around her.

Something told me that I’d never sleep the same again, that without her here, it wouldn’t ever feel this good. Or this peaceful either.

The knock at the door woke me. Alice was asleep, curled up in my arms, right where she belonged.

I pulled myself away, grabbed some clothes to cover myself and walked back through my rooms.

When I opened the main door a guard in my brother’s livery bowed before handing a note. I frowned, took it quickly as he disappeared.

The High Council was meeting at this time?

That only meant one thing. That something had happened. My stomach knotted. Yesterday had felt like a victory. A win. But today, quite possibly it would all be undone.

I tossed the note on the side my mind already running over the numbers, working out what soldiers I could pull from where.
