Now I had to accept the situation I was in. Accept that I really was the High King’s possession.

I sighed, glancing at Nela and Indi. They both looked back at me, for a moment I wondered how much they were on my side and not simply just spying for Prince Fain.

How much could I trust them if they were passing on every little thing I did?

“Well this is a pleasant surprise.” Rillon said behind us making me jump.

I narrowed my eyes turning to face him. “What do you want?” I asked.

“Prince.” He said.

I screwed my face up at him. “What?”

“You’ll find the correct sentence was ‘what do you want Prince?’ In this world we refer to people with their titles Fae.”

I dearly wanted to tell him where to stick it while Nela and Indi shifted beside me obviously uncomfortable.

He smirked glancing at them. “I see he’s got his guard dogs on you.”

“Who?” I asked.

“Fain of course.”

I shook my head and started to walk. Whatever sibling rivalry this was I was damned if I’d be caught in the middle of it.

He grabbed my arm pulling me back.

“Don’t touch me.” I snapped.

“Perhaps you might want to reconsider your options.” He said quietly.

“What do you mean?”

He glanced at Indi and Nela again. “I will escort the Fae girl to her rooms.”

“Sorry Prince Rillon but we have our orders.” Nela replied.

“Fine, but step back, show some respect at least.” Rillon snapped and I saw with horror that they both complied stepping away just enough for Rillon’s presence to feel like a threat.

“Walk.” He said to me.

I gritted my teeth in response. “What do you want?”

“I want to strike a deal with you.” He said so quietly I knew neither Indi nor Nela would hear.

“What kind of deal?” I asked.

“You want to go home correct? To return to your lands?” He said.

“What do you care what I want?” I retorted.

“Because I can give that to you.”

“How?”

He smiled. “I’m a Prince, I can do whatever I want.”

“You really mean you can help me to get back home?”
