I yank it out, seeing the message flash up from Sofia, and I freeze. What the fuck is going on? Was this planned? They take me out and make a move against Sofia all at the same time?

“Get to the house.” I bellow. “Get Reid in there now.”

Colt stares back at me before repeating it down the phone.

I need to get back there. I need to make sure she’s safe.

I run to one of the other trucks, pulling out the driver and take his seat. Colt barely has time to get in beside me before I’m hitting the gas.

“What’s going on?” He asks.

I toss my phone at him. Let him read the message that she’s in trouble. That she needs my help.

“Fucking hell.” He groans.

We’re a good ten minutes out. Anything could happen in that time. Anything could go down. Sofia could be taken, could be killed.

A light turns red but I don’t stop, I just plough right through narrowly missing the car in the wrong direction.

I don’t have time for this shit. I don’t have time for anything.

Istorm into the house. I didn’t even switch the engine off.

My gun is out, Colt is hot on my tails.

As we reach the second floor I can’t hear a damned thing. It’s like nobody is here. Like whatever fight has already happened long ago.

When I get to our room, I see movement.

“Sofia?” I call, tightening my grip. If anyone is in there, I’ll blow their fucking heads off.

“In here.”

It’s not her who answers. It’s Reid and he sounds pissed. What the fuck is going on?

I storm in, there’s four men. My men, all stood, looking more than a little sheepish. Reid is shaking his head, glaring.

And Sofia, fuck me, Sofia is there, a sheet pressed to her chest and her face bright red, as she stares at the floor in front of her.

“What the…?” Colt says behind me.

“Apparently your woman likes to play games.” Reid states looking unamused. “Apparently there isn’t enough drama in her life already.”

She winces, dropping her gaze further, mumbling some sort of apology. She’s clearly wearing nothing but underwear. And my men, they’re all stood gawping, like she’s some damn art exhibition.

“Get out.” I order.

Thankfully they know better than to be told twice, but Reid makes a point of smirking at me as he struts past. He’s damn lucky I don’t put a bullet in his head for that.

Once it’s just us, just me and her she lets out a small sigh. “I’m so sorry…”

“Drop the sheet.” I say.

She gulps, pulling it down. I swear my eyes almost pop out of my head. That’s new lingerie. More new lingerie. I’d know if she already had that. Has she got a whole store’s worth stashed away for me?

“I was bored.”
