“I wasn’t even ready!” Fernando complained loudly before touching my shoulders and pulling my back towards him.

“Now I am!”

Nia returned to taking photos, and I just shook my head.

“C'mon, let’s take a real picture together,’’ Fernando whispered playfully in my ear, and I couldn’t deny him his request, so I smiled and raised my hand for a peace sign, while Fernando himself still had his arms around me and placed his head on my shoulder, then he planted a kiss on my cheek and a picture was taken.

Nia laughed, and I just rolled my eyes and pushed Fernando away from me. “Just a minute ago, you were complaining,”

“Ma Bella, you know I’m kidding.” He winked, but Nia grabbed him and pushed him towards the counter. “Stop flirting. Let’s get the pictures.”

“All right, my lady!”

Nia was in her element at once, and I watched them both until I felt a tap on my shoulder.

“Hey,” Nathan greeted me with a smile and moved to stand next to me. I looked at him and noticed instantly that he hadn’t slept well either.

However, he was still quite handsome even if he looked exhausted. His beautiful dark hair was combed back, showing off his flawless face.

Nathan was the total opposite of Fernando, whose easygoing and playful manner made him look charming but also sweet. Nathan was mysterious and intimidating, but as I got to know him, I knew better.

“Everything okay?” His deep voice was dreamlike, and I had to hold back from commenting on it.

“Everything’s fine... something happened, but we can discuss it later.’’

“Hope nothing serious...”

I shook my head. “No…Also I’m done with my part. You arrived just in time.”

“Shall we go to my place then? I’ve found what you asked me for.”

I nodded and then looked back over at Fernando, who tried to do the pose Nia explained to him. Our eyes met briefly, and then he blew a kiss.

He made me grin, but I stopped as a cool hand touched my cheek and turned me, forcing me to look at Nathan. His eyes had darkened. “Nia, we’ll wait for you in the car!” he informed her loudly enough and grabbed my hand to pull me towards the door.

“Wait, I can’t leave like that,” I protested, but he just clicked his tongue, opened the door, and pulled me out.

“Have a nice day, and thanks for the interview, Fernando!” I called out quickly before the door closed. When he finally came to a stop, I was a little taken aback.

“What’s going on, Nathan?” I asked at once, pulling away from him.

“I don't like how he looks at you.”

His answer silenced me instantly. The fact that he just admitted it without being embarrassed left me speechless, but I managed to compose myself. “You can’t just drag me out of there because you’re jealous.”

He shrugged and pointed at me. “And yet, here we are.”

My mouth opened, but no words came out. Instead, I closed it again and walked to his car, parked right in front of the store.

I went to open the door to the back, but it was still locked.

Nathan stepped beside me again, pushing me back against the car. Our bodies were dangerously close but not touching. I felt hot under Nathan’s gaze, full of longing and desire. Both arms were placed to my right and left, and he leaned forward so our foreheads could touch.

“Are you mad at me now?” His voice was low and rough.

I didn’t answer him, so he asked again, and I had to reply, a little annoyed, “Yes, I am.”

“I’m sorry for upsetting you. But I’m not sorry for this. I want your undivided attention.”
