“I was in la-la land when he showed up with the food. Opened the door without even remembering that I was na–” I groaned loudly and tried to climb out of Antonio's hold.
I was still naked. Antonio had seen my body last night but that was different. We were both caught in the moment and only thinking of one thing. Sex. Now, he’d be able to see every flaw.
“Sofia, what’s wrong?”
“I’m naked!” I shrieked, swatting at him lightly.
“So?” he chuckled.
“So, I don’t want you seeing my…” My words trailed off. Insecurities flooded my mind and I suddenly wished I was anywhere but here.
“Sofia,” he said tenderly. “You’re beautiful.”
“No. I’m not,” I shook my head. He sighed then carried me over to the bed. He laid me down gently. “Be right back.”
He walked across the room and stepped into the hallway. I couldn’t hear what was being said. I just hoped he wouldn't reprimand the guy like my father would.
“Don’t hurt him!” I screamed in the direction of the door. Antonio poked his head in the door and chuckled.
“I won’t hurt him,” he smiled.
“Promise?”
“Yes. I promise, Beautiful.”
“No one else either,” I added. I had a sneaky suspicion he’d find a way to get around the promise. I held out my pinky. Antonio’s eyebrow rose. “Pinky-promise me that you and no one else will hurt him.”
“Pinky-promise?”
“Mmhmm. It’s not his fault I was a fucking dumbass and forgot I didn’t have clothes on.” He frowned at my words. “What? I was.”
“I don’t want you talking bad about yourself again.” His words were a cross between romantic and a command.
I sucked in a sharp breath and bit my bottom lip. My thighs squeezed together as my pussy throbbed, begging to be taken by Antonio.
Fuck, I’m hopeless.
“Understood?” he asked.
I fought the urge to spread my legs and beg him to take me. There were more important things to deal with right now. Things like the poor bastard in the hallway who was about to be offed because of my stupidity.
“I won’t say anything bad if you promise to not let anything happen to him,” I bargained.
Antonio stared at me long and hard. Finally, he nodded and laughed.
“Deal. But don’t go back on your word,” he pointed at me.
“I’m a lady of my word, Sir,” I informed him sassily.
“I trust you.” He stuck his head out into the hallway. “Troy, thank Sofia. She just saved your life.”
“Thank you, Sofia,” the guy said from the hallway. Antonio grinned smugly.
“The next person to see what’s mi–” Antonio frowned at his own words. “The next person to see Sofia’s body is a dead man. Understood?”
“Yes, Boss,” the men in the hallway said in unison.
“Give me that,” Antonio ordered. The tray was handed to him then the door closed. “Wasn’t sure what’d you ate so I had the chef make you a bit of everything,” he said walking over to the bed.
