“Welcome to your Little getaway.” Edward waves his arms around. “Your Daddy set it up so you can explore all the thingsyour Little heart wants. We’ve got all the stuff you see here, plus bottles, sippy cups, diapers, pull-ups, and more.”

My heart speeds up at the mention of all the things I’ve been curious to use but haven’t. Some things are just better with a Daddy involved. I can’t say I don't want them since I’ve never been brave enough to experiment.

“What do you think, little one? You ready to have a full day of being Little Foster?” DD asks, his voice soft against my ear as he stands behind me.

I nod gently, my voice lost as I drop quickly into my Little self. It’s a fight not to go too deep too fast or I’ll completely lose myself. Given all the new things to try, I need to have some sense enough to consent.

“Since I saw how Little you got last time, I took the liberty of creating something I think will help you.” Edward goes to the closest table and picks up a clipboard.

One look at the paper on it has me nearly in tears. It’s a list of things I’m willing to agree to try.

“What… what is this?” I ask, even though I suspect I know.

My new friend shrugs as Daddy wraps his arms around me. It feels safe here. Like this is where I’m supposed to be.

Edward rubs his hands together, almost as if he’s nervous. “When your Daddy called me to set this all up, I remembered how you kind of went in on yourself at the party. He seemed real surprised by that, so I assumed you guys hadn’t discussed it yet. This way, you can check off what you do and don’t like. Then you can regress however you like for the day. Your Daddy will know exactly what to do.”

DD leans over placing his head on my shoulder. “I think you’re brilliant, Edward. Thank you for taking care of us. You’re a good friend.”

“I’ve always said the same,” says a new voice. I nearly jump out of my skin when a man about my age walks into the room. “Nice to meet you both. I’m Bram.”

“My bestie!” Edward adds, as if he knows there’s no way to connect the dots without confirmation.

Bram chuckles. “Yes, I’m his bestie. Welcome to my boat. I hope you two have a good time today. I’ll be popping in and out today. Don’t mind me. I’m quite familiar with all things Little.”

“You’re a Daddy?” The words leave my lips before I can stop myself.

“Not quite,” Bram admits. “More like an ally, if you will. But really, there’s nothing you can do that will shock me. Remember, I’m friends with Edward.”

I watch the two of them together as they roll their eyes at one another and appear to be teasing in a way thatcouldbe considered flirting. Maybe they’re just close friends. Bram does have Daddy energy though.

Shaking my head, I take the pen on the clipboard and get to work filling out my form. Daddy eases me into a chair as he goes to talk with the others about something. I ignore them as I read through everything carefully.

It’s a big yes to all the toys and playtime stuff. I admit to being curious about bottles and diapers. Sippy cups get a definite yes too, while training pants are a maybe. I select that I want to be fed and that I don’t mind napping as well.

By the time I’m done, I’m so deep in my head there’s no coming back. I bounce in my seat until Daddy turns to me. Then I hold out the board and smile.

“Pway, Daddy?”

He nods softly, saying, “Yes, little one. Feel free to play as you wish.”

I drop to the floor and crawl toward the pile of toys. No need to tell me anything else.

CHAPTER 12

Duval

“He’s a natural, huh?” Bram asks from his spot beside me on the couch.

We dropped into these spots a few minutes ago when Edward decided to shed his big persona as well. The pair began playing together as Bram and I took on the role of observers.

I nod, answering him with, “Yeah, he really is.”

“That’s great. Edward has been talking about this since you called him. He’s very excited to have the chance to play with someone full time while on this trip. It was a bit last minute, and he usually doesn’t have anyone.”

“Do you two come here often?” I hold up my hand before he can reply. “That sounded terribly cheesy. I just meant that I don’t know where home is so I’m not sure how this works for you both.”

Bram chuckles. “This is home, though it’s not the primary one. We live in the city of Bellport.”
