Page 38 of Their Perfect Daddy

CHAPTER 13

SKYE

Dating two men is an adventure in time management. From the minute we made it back to the party, I knew it would take all my extra focus to track the boys I’d claimed as mine. Not only did they try to go in different directions to not draw suspicion, but they also tried to act as if they didn’t know me.

It amused me briefly. Then it frustrated me.

Don’t call me Daddy one minute, and in the next, act as if I wasn’t bringing you pleasure. I pulled them aside to explain they needed to stop the charade. My tone and expression convinced them enough to behave for the rest of the night.

Since then, we’ve been keeping up with one another through texts and the occasional call. Both my boys prefer to message me their random thoughts through the day—one more than the other.Yes, I do mean my brat.

Calls are‘too much work’for them so I adjust to what they like. Part of being a good Daddy is meeting your partner where they need you to. I don’t much care how we communicate. As long as I hear from them through the day, I’m fine.

“You’re rather distracted today, Dr. Gellar,” my colleague, Dr. Venus Shoals says in a teasing voice.

I shake my head, chuckling at the accuracy. “Yes, I guess I am. It’s been a busy couple of weeks.”

Not that she knows the true meaning behind my words. Sure, work has been more hectic than usual. That’s not what has me on edge though.

It’s the lack of being able to see my boys. Both were so tactile that first night, I can only imagine how their coping without the physical touch part of our relationship. I’ve reassured them as best I can. However, it’s not the same as being with them.

“Do we need to look at the schedule again? I can cover for you if needed. There isn’t anything pressing right now.”

“No, Venus. That’s not necessary. I promise it will all balance out soon.” One way or another.

“Well at least let me give you an early night off or something. How about this Friday? You could even go on a date.” When I freeze, her eyes go wide. “Oh my gosh! Is there someone new in your life? Did I miss a Gellar Love Life Update?”

“Awhat?”

She can’t possibly mean what I think she does. The hospital is full of gossiping colleagues. I didn’t think I’d be worth their time.

Seems I was wrong.

“You know exactly what I’m talking about. Don’t act so coy. What’s their name? Tell me so I can have the fresh gossip.”

Laughing, I sign off on the paperwork at the counter before turning to her. “If you give me the early night on Friday, I’ll come back Saturday with a full run down. We can do breakfast. And I’ll bring those scones you love from that bakery around the corner.”

“DEAL!” she shouts the word before covering her mouth quickly and blushing.

My skin turns red as well with all the eyes turning our way. Thankfully, they don’t seem to know what’s going on. Venus is a troublemaker all on her own. They’re used to her antics.

“Thanks for the offer. You’re really giving me the break I needed.” I give her shoulder a squeeze as I leave to head to my office.

I won’t look this gift horse in the mouth. A chance to have an evening with the boys is perfect. I know Danny will have the evening off, despite his increasingly busy schedule. He’s got a huge project coming up that’s going to take him on a trip to Vegas soon.

A trip without a solid timeline.

Meaning he’ll be even further away than he is now.

And then there’s Monty. He’ll be done with practice by that time; however, I know the guys on his team encourage him to go out with them sometimes. I need to make sure he doesn’t agree to anything that night.

I’ll also need to figure out if a night in would be best, or if I want to brave trying to handle them out in public. The answer comes to me in a flash of a daydream. I picture Danny in a cute little lace outfit prancing around the living room playing with toys while Monty cuddles under a pile of blankets on the couch playing video games. He’ll also be watching Danny every now and then. How could he resist?

We definitely need to stick close to home. Even if they don’t want any of those things, I need them to be comfortable enough to speak freely with me about their desires for this relationship. We can’t do that out in public. Monty is a bit of a celebrity. I have no doubt he’ll be asked for autographs and selfies if we’re anywhere a sports fan shows up.

And since it’s Bellport, that’s basically everywhere.

On top of wanting to spend time with them, I also have to carve out space to shoot some more content for my followers. I’ve been slacking a bit in that department. Given how much of that money goes to good causes, I need to get my shit together soon. I also promised my boy a private show.
