“Do you think the guys would let us? It is short notice. What if they don’t want us to go alone?” she asked. I could already smell her scent souring like rotten fruit. I kissed the top of her head lightly.
“Then they’d have to go through me,” I said, winking at her. She still didn’t look convinced.
“Look, I’ll go and ask them right now,” I told her, getting up. I left our room before she had a chance to stop me. I could smell all three alphas in the direction of the kitchen. Following my nose, I stopped once I got to the edge of the hallway. Lydia had trailed behind me and stopped as well. I leaned against the wall, taking them all in. Finn and Sorren sat around the kitchen island laughing at something one of them said while Graham was cooking at the stove.
Sorren was the first to notice me, followed by Finn and then Graham. Sorren gave me a wink, beckoning me over to them. I stayed where I was and started talking.
“Are you okay with Lydia and me going to a ballroom dancing competition? One of the participants is a close friend of ours. We want to be there to support her,” I asked, looking at all three of them. A worried expression spread across all three alphas’ faces as they looked at each other. For a moment, I worried Lydia was right to be concerned before Sorren turned back to me with a smile.
“When will it be?” He asked.
“This afternoon,” I replied, watching him nervously. I watched him think for a moment before he focused back on me.
“I can go with you, too, if you don’t mind. I know you both can handle yourselves, but I’m sure all three of us want at least one of us with you.” He smiled nervously.
“I can work with that,” I confirm. I turned around with a sway of my hips before returning to our room to prepare. I heard several groans from behind, and grinned. Lydia’s eyes sparkled in happiness at what the alphas said. She quickly got dressed, buzzing around the room in excitement. I watched her for a few moments before getting dressed myself. I changed out of my sweatpants into something more appropriate for public use. Lydia wore a pleated skirt, thigh-high black socks, and a shirt that almost covered it. I had a feeling Sorren would have difficulty not looking at her, especially if he had a thing for socks.
Chapter 6
Sorren
My fingers twitched as I listened to the noises coming down the hall. I had been waiting for Lydia and Gabriel to finish getting ready for about 15 minutes. Graham and Finn had already left for their jobs. Despite it being the weekend, Graham had an important meeting to attend, and Finn wanted to finish working on a car in his shop before the week started up again.
I don’t think Lydia or Gabriel realized that sound could float through the halls from their room. It was hard listening to them laugh and have fun with each other when all I wanted to do was be in there with them. I sipped my coffee, hoping to distract myself. After several minutes, I heard footsteps coming down the hall. I turned to look at them and wanted to groan at what I saw.
Lydia was wearing these unbelievably sexy long black socks. Her skirt ended several centimeters from where her long socks ended, giving me a peek at the color of her thighs. Her face flushed at my attention, and she shuffled a little to hide behind Gabriel. I loved her shy reactions to the attention my pack and I would give to her. It was a shame she wasn’t used to it, but the longer she was with us, she would get plenty of it. If we looked at her and Gabriel, her scent would brighten to an even more intoxicating level.
Gabriel wasn’t much better at calming my reaction. A part of me wondered if I was always attracted to regular clothes or if it was just these two. Gabriel’s jeans were ripped in several significant places, giving glimpses of his legs. I tried my best not to stare at the fabric when it moved. I wanted to see all of his legs, and it killed me that the jeans hid just enough to keep me wondering.
“We’re ready when you are,” Gabriel said, looking at me with a grin that told me he knew exactly what I was thinking. A smile spread across my face. I got up and walked over to them. Gabriel and Lydia’s eyes widened at my approach. I was careful to walk slowly in case they needed to step back or away from me. It would be hard not to chase them, but I wouldn’t, for them. Gabriel’s scent swelled throughout the room, showing how much he liked me approaching. My grin spread wide as I got close enough to do what I wanted.
“You both look edible and breathtaking,” I said, winking at Lydia as I brushed my hand lightly across Gabriel’s neck, right where I wanted to markhim. I brought his hand up to my mouth. I silently asked Gabriel for permission with my eyes. He nodded slightly, his gaze laser-focused on me. I kissed the inside of his wrist, savoring his taste and feel.
“Alright, let’s go before we’re late,” I said, releasing his hand suddenly. Gabriel looked at me with shock and want. I winked at him and stepped away. I grabbed the keys for the car Graham and I shared. Finn liked riding his motorcycle since closed spaces weren’t his favorite thing. Graham’s work wasn’t that far from the house, so he walked to work half the time instead of driving. Gabriel sighed loudly in frustration before following after me.
“What a tease,” Gabriel said to Lydia. I watched them out of the corner of my eye with a grin. I was proud I had such an effect on him. We all got in the car, me in the driver's seat, Gabriel in the passenger seat, and Lydia in the back. I looked at him quizzically. I thought he would have shared the back with Lydia.
“She wanted some time to herself.” He shrugged. “Though, if I’m being honest. I think she just wanted me to spend some time with you.” He whispered, glancing at Lydia to ensure she wasn’t listening.
“Her loss, I suppose. You're a treat to be around.” I said as I watched him lean back into his seat.
“That I am. You know, you keep commenting about how much you want to eat me. Should I be worried?” Gabriel pondered as I turned the car on. Images flashed through my mind that were very unneeded at the moment. I shook my head to try to clear my mind as I pulled out of the driveway.
“Careful with that mouth of yours. If you keep teasing me, we might not make it to that competition.” I said, growling lightly. Gabriel’s eyes widened like saucers, and his scent deepened even more.
“Not happening. We are going. Boys, behave yourself.” Lydia scolded the both of us. I looked through the back mirror to see her glaring at both of us. I won’t admit that a part of me liked how bossy she was right now. It almost made me want her to call me a good boy.
“Your wish is my command,” I said, focusing on the road as we entered a busier part of town. Gabriel huffed and fell back in his seat.
“Fine.” He said with a grumble. I smiled to myself at his reaction. A part of me wondered if his heat would make his brattiness worse. The thought of Gabriel’s heat had me worried about Lydia’s. I know they mention her using suppressants to make it bearable, but even then, it was supposed to be hell for them. I could say for all three of us that we didn’t want her hurting in any way. It would be hard to stay away from the nest when it happened to Lydia. Knowing she was in pain and we couldn’t be there to support her was a hard thought. We would do whatever made her the most comfortable, but a part of me hoped she would let us spend that time with her.
We pulled into the parking lot of a large gym. I could see several men and women in formal attire entering and leaving the building. Lydia and Gabriel were bouncing off the walls by the time I parked.
“Hurry! Let’s go, let’s go.” Lydia yelled, practically pulling at Gabriel’s arm. He was the only thing stopping her from running into the building. I smiled at her. This was the first time I’d seen her so relaxed around us. She usually was nervous, shy, or flushed when we were around. I locked the car and turned toward the omegas. Gabriel held out his free hand for me to take. I smiled and took his palm in mine, loving the warmth that it gave off. As soon as we were in the building, a small body of short black hair tackled Lydia. Two sets of girly giggles started as Gabriel lifted both of them around and twirled them.
“I’m so glad you two could make it.” The other omega said, looking between both of them. Now that I could see her entire face, I noticed that the pieces of exposed skin were covered in glitter. It wasn’t loud or obvious. Honestly, it looked more like her skin shimmered in the light. The girl’s dress was form-fitting with high heels to match. The dress’s neckline cut deep into the girl’s chest, and a high slit could be seen at the bottom. The dress was bright red and shiny, reminding me of cherries.
“Corretta, this is Sorren. Sorren, Corretta.” Gabriel said, moving his hand to introduce the both of us. Corretta stopped her jumping and laughter with Lydia to look at me.
