Chapter 33

“Do you feel any pain baby?” Landon asked as he held Faryn’s hand.

“No, I don’t feel anything,” Faryn replied.

Three weeks after they got married, she was admitted into the hospital to give birth to their twins. It was only six in the morning and they had been there for an hour already. Both their families were in the waiting area, and Landon was a nervous wreck. He had been there to see both of his sons enter the world, but the situations were different. Malia had their sons naturally, but Faryn had to get cut. It was different having two babies and he didn’t know what to expect. He tried to ease Faryn’s mind, but he was just as anxious as she was. He would be meeting his first daughter and another son in a matter of minutes. The surgery had already started, but Landon was too afraid to look. He didn’t know if his stomach could take whatever the doctors were doing.

“Okay Faryn, just relax. You’ll feel a little pressure and then baby number one will be out. The same thing for baby number two. A little pressure, but no pain,” the doctor said.

Just like he’d said, Faryn felt a little pressure both times and her babies had entered the world crying and healthy. Landon Jr. was out first weighing a little over six pounds, followed by London, who weighed a little over five. They both had a head full of hair just like Ella had predicted. She swore that Faryn’s constant heartburn guaranteed that they would. Once Landon cut the cords, they finished patching Faryn up as the babies were escorted to the nursery.

“Four babies and six more to go.” Landon smiled.

“What!” Faryn yelled.

“I’m just playing with you, baby. Calm down,” he laughed.

“Four is more than enough,” Faryn noted.

“Maybe one or two more and I’ll be good,” he replied while kissing her lips.

It was a little after ten that morning when Faryn was situated in her room and ready to receive visitors. Lennox and Lance were the first ones to enter the room wearing their proud big brother t-shirts that Landon had specially made for them. They swore that the babies looked just like them and nobody could deny that. They were excited when they sat in the chair and Landon let each one of them hold a baby. Roman and Chad were on their way and Akira was coming with Clarence as soon as she got off from work.

“That poor lil girl. Three big brothers and a crazy ass daddy,” Makena said as he smiled at her niece.

“Yep and nobody better play with her,” Lance replied as he looked down at her.

“That’s right. That’s the only time that you won’t get in trouble for fighting. A nigga look at her wrong and you better knock him the fuck out,” Landon ordered.

“Don’t tell him that baby,” Faryn fussed.

“Drop them niggas Lance and you too, Lennox,” Landon replied, making her shake her head at him.

“Robin asked if she could come up here to visit,” Ella said as she hung up the phone and looked at Landon.

“Send her a picture.” Landon frowned.

“Okay, I was just asking,” Ella replied.

“I’m really getting sick of hearing her name,” Makena said, rolling her eyes.

“You know she has to move within ninety days. They sold the house and she has to leave. I told her that I can’t help her. You pay all my bills, so I don’t have any money to give her,” Ella noted.

“You have lots of money. What’s mine is yours,” Landon replied.

“You know what I mean Landon. I don’t want to see her on the streets, but I can’t afford to help her get a place to stay. The only thing I can offer her is a room in my house,” Ella said.

“Aww, hell no. She better not come in there on no bullshit,” Aiden fussed.

“Shut your overgrown ass up boy. You barely sleep there, so you wouldn’t know anyway,” Ella fussed.

“I’m not taking care of her, grandma. She never took care of me, so why should I? Now, I can’t tell you who to move into your house, but she better get a job and pay her own way. My responsibility is to make sure you’re straight and that’s it,” Landon informed her.

“I know baby. I told her that you pay all the bills and I had to run it by you first,” Ella said.

“Oh, well my answer is no,” Landon replied.

“Landon!” Faryn yelled.
