“Bitch! I told you to keep your fucking hands to yourself,” he snapped as he slapped Malia across her face twice and watched her drop down to the floor.

She was still blocking the door, so he kicked her legs to make her move.

“The fuck is that stupid bitch on today?” Chad asked when his brother walked out of the bedroom.

“Man, fuck that hoe!” Roman barked as the two men made their way outside.

“What happened?” Chad questioned once they were in Roman’s car.

“Her stupid ass went through my phone and saw some shit that she didn’t want to see. I just knocked fire from that silly hoe. I keep telling her to keep her hands to herself,” Roman answered.

“That’s good for her stupid ass. You know I never did like that bitch. She gets no respect from me,” Chad replied.

He never liked Malia from day one and nothing had changed. He couldn’t respect a woman who left her kids behind just to be with a man. He and his brother never really had a mother growing up and his heart went out to kids who grew up the same way. He had mad respect for Malia’s ex-husband for doing his part and raising his sons. He and Roman didn’t even know who their father was. They’d met Malia’s ex-husband before and he seemed like a cool dude. He had his head on straight and they had to respect that.

“I already know you can’t stand her ass,” Roman laughed.

“I can understand if she wanted to leave her husband. He’s a grown ass man and he’ll get over it eventually. But for her to just leave her kids like that is just fucked up. I’ll never like or respect her ass for that,” Chad replied.

“I told the bitch that I didn’t want kids. I wasn’t telling her to leave her kids behind to be with me though,” Roman acknowledged.

He and his brother had met Malia’s sons several times when they came over, and Chad really liked them. He felt their pain and he tried his best to make them feel comfortable. Roman liked them too, even though he was ready to be done with their mother.

“Put her stupid ass out,” Chad said, making his brother laugh.

“No worries lil brother, her time is almost up,” Roman said as he looked down at his ringing phone that displayed Malia’s number.

“Didn’t you just slap that bitch around in there? The fuck is she calling for now?” Chad asked with a frown.

“The fuck you want Malia?” Roman barked as the call connected through his car speakers.

“My sons are coming over until tomorrow. Can you bring us something to eat later?” she asked him.

Although Roman didn’t want kids of his own, Malia knew that he liked her sons. She hoped that by telling him that they were coming over, he would come back home that night and stay.

“Yeah, I’ll stop and grab something,” Roman replied, making her smile through her busted lip.

“Okay, thanks baby,” Malia said before hanging up.

She called Landon next, to let him know of her plans. Admittedly, Malia didn’t spend as much time with her sons as she should have. She called them all the time, but she was too busy trying to keep up with Roman. Malia didn’t know much about the lifestyle that Roman lived, but she had to learn fast if she wanted to keep him happy.

“That bitch think she slick. She’s only getting her sons over there, so you don’t sleep out again. Sad ass bitch always trying to use her kids for some shit,” Chad said with a frown once his brother was done with his call.

“I already know, but she ain’t slicker than me. I’m going drop some food and snacks off for my lil dudes and I’m going chill with Jessica. Fuck Malia,” Roman said as he and his brother fell out laughing.

It was good while it lasted, but the single life was the only one that Roman wanted to live. Malia needed to go back home to her family or find her somebody new. Whatever she did was all on her and Roman didn’t care one way or the other.
