“I’m a wife and a mother. That’s very fun to me,” Faryn replied.

“You know what I’m saying Faryn,” Harley fussed.

“I don’t want to go clubbing nowhere Harley. You and Patrice don’t need me to have fun,” Harley pointed out.

“Yes, we do. We’re like the three musketeers. All for one and one for all,” Harley said, making them laugh.

“Why can’t y’all be the dynamic duo?” Faryn asked with a giggle.

“You always have to be difficult. Patrice is baby free all weekend and she wants to go out for a while. We’ll go anywhere you want to go,” Harley offered.

“Okay, well, y’all can come here. This is the only place that I want to go,” Faryn replied.

“Help me out Landon. Don’t you want your wife to go out and have fun?” Harley asked.

“Leave me out of that one,” Landon replied as he watched his sons play the game.

He’d made that mistake before and he wasn’t about to do it again. He encouraged Malia to go out once before and she ended up meeting another man and leaving him. If Faryn wanted to go out, he wouldn’t stop her, but he was damn sure not going to suggest it. He had gone out with Aiden and Raheem a few weeks before, so he would never have a problem with it.

“Ugh, I give up. Don’t get mad when you hear about all the fun we had either,” Harley warned.

“I won’t,” Faryn said as she took a seat next to her husband.

Harley and Kyron stayed over for a little longer before they left to go home. She and Patrice were going club hopping later and she wanted to take a nap before they did. Faryn contemplated going with them, but she changed her mind. She would have much rather stay at home with her husband and kids instead.

“Makena said that my grandma cooked enough food to feed an army. You wanna go over there and eat?” Landon asked her.

“Hell yeah. No cooking for me today. I didn’t feel like it anyway,” Faryn replied.

Lance and Lennox made the babies some bottles, while Faryn and Lance got them dressed. A few minutes later, they were in Landon’s truck in route to Ella’s house. She was so happy to see them once they got there. She and Makena grabbed the babies while Landon, Faryn, and the boys ate.

“They are getting so big. I’m so happy y’all came over,” Ella said as she smiled at her great-grandkids.

“We came over a few days ago, but you weren’t here,” Landon noted.

“Yeah, I’ve been going back and forth from here to Ava’s house. That damn Kane was a no-good somebody, but that’s what her ass gets. She tried to turn her back on her family for his cheating ass and look at where that got her,” Ella replied.

“She makes me sick, but I feel sorry for her and Kylie. Thank God, she got a job to support herself,” Makena spoke.

“Yeah because he barely left anything in the bank. She should have had a bigger insurance policy on his ass too. She could have been set for life,” Ella added.

“She was a fool for letting Kane handle all the finances without having input,” Makena said.

“Her and Robin are some dumb bitches. At least Ava had a ring and a policy. Robin don’t have shit but an expensive wardrobe to show for all the years that she was with Leroy. His kids even sold the Cadillac that he just got before he died,” Ella informed them.

“I’m sorry, but I don’t feel bad for her,” Makena said, right as the front door opened and Robin walked in.

She was still in her work uniform and she looked tired and beat down.

“Hey everybody,” Robin greeted. Nobody but Ella and Faryn spoke back to her, but that was nothing new.

“I cooked a little bit of everything. Go fix yourself something to eat,” Ella suggested.

“I’ll fix it to go. I’m tired after working those twelve hours,” Robin replied as she sat down.

She had been working a lot of long hours and she just wanted to see her mother before she went home. She was thankful that Ava let her borrow the car because catching the bus most days was hell. Both her kids were financially well off, but they wouldn’t even buy her a skateboard if she asked.

“Fix something for Ava and Kylie too,” Ella requested.
