“Your phone has been ringing off the hook,” Faryn noted.

Landon grabbed his phone and saw that he had a bunch of missed calls from Malia, Lennox, and his grandmother. Malia was probably ready to bring their son home, but no one was there.

“Shit! I gotta get going,” he said as he jumped up from the floor.

“Okay, let me walk you out,” Faryn offered.

“I need your number and not the same one that you gave Lance. I want your personal number,” Landon said as they walked to the door.

“Give me your phone,” Faryn requested.

She called her personal phone from his, so that she would have his number too.

“Make sure you lock me in,” Landon said, as she walked him to the elevator.

“I will,” she replied.

“And even though I appreciate the food and conversation, this was not a date. I want to take you somewhere and I’m not taking no for an answer,” Landon said.

“Who said that I was gonna say no?” Faryn asked, right as his phone rang.

“Awe shit. This is my grandmother again. She probably put out a missing person’s report on me,” he laughed.

“Call her back, so she won’t worry. And make sure you call me later,” Faryn replied.

“No doubt,” Landon said as he gave her a hug and got on the elevator.

Faryn smiled all the way to her apartment, until Harley opened her door and started up her drama.

“Bitch, you said you had a ride home, but I didn’t know it was with a nigga. And you let him spend the night too. I want the tea on his cute, sexy ass!” Harley yelled.

“There is no tea, bitch, and I’m too tired to talk about it right now. I need a nap.” Faryn yawned.

“You make sure you call me as soon as you wake up,” Harley demanded.

“Okay nosey,” Faryn agreed.

“What time are you gonna cook today?” Harley questioned.

“I already cooked, and the food is gone,” she replied as she walked inside, closing and locking her door behind her.

She heard Harley cursing her out, but she was too tired to entertain her.
