“It’s your phone Faryn. You can answer it if you want to,” Landon said nonchalantly.

“Here, I’m blocking the number. Will that make you happy?” she asked.

“Nah, don’t do it on my behalf. The fact that you didn’t do it before says a lot,” Landon replied.

“Why do you always have to be so complicated? This is all new to me, Landon. You’ve been married before and I’ve never really had a boyfriend. Cut me a little slack,” Faryn pouted.

“It’s not rocket science Faryn. If this is really what you want, you’ll figure it out on your own,” Landon noted as he settled on a movie for them to watch.

“Are you mad at me?” she asked after a long pause.

“Not at all,” he replied while giving her a kiss to let her know that he was telling the truth.

Faryn was satisfied with that, as she snuggled up with him again and started watching the movie. It was weird how just a few months ago, she was happy when she was home alone. Since the first time that Landon came to visit her, she now hated the solitude. She didn’t know how serious Landon was about her asking him to be her man, but Faryn was contemplating it. Harley was right and men like Landon didn’t come along very often. Faryn didn’t want to miss out on an opportunity to be genuinely happy. She also didn’t want him to get tired of waiting for her to make up her mind and move on. For all she knew, his ex-wife could possibly try to come back into the picture. Faryn would die if that happened. She had only known Landon for a short period, but she wanted him to become a permanent part of her life. She had to put on her big girl thongs and make her move before someone else did. She had to talk to Harley to get her advice, even though she already knew what she would say. Harley always encouraged her to take chances and she was ready to do it. Even if it didn’t work out, she could at least say that she tried.
