Malia grabbed her laptop from the dresser and decided to play detective. After going to the site and putting in Roman’s information, she learned that he was still locked up. He had an attachment on him from another parish, so he would still have to be transferred before being released. Malia checked on Chad and it was the same thing with him. She could care less about Chad being in there, but she wanted Roman to come home, at least until she could get back right with Landon. Thinking quickly, Malia came up with a plan that would get her boo out of jail and hopefully solidify her place in his heart. After taking a shower and changing clothes, she made a few moves until it was time to get Lennox out of school.

“Are you full baby?” Malia asked as she looked over and smiled at her son.

She had picked Lennox up from school and taken him to the movies. Afterwards, they went to the Game Stop and picked up a few new games for him and Lance to play with. Lance still didn’t want to be bothered with her, but she made sure to get him whatever she got his brother. She was confident that he would come around eventually, but he was still being stubborn.

“Yeah, I’m full. Can I take the rest home?” Lennox asked.

“You sure can. Let me call the waiter,” Malia said as she looked around the Chinese restaurant that they were eating at.

“Is my dad coming to pick me up?” Lennox asked.

“No baby, you’re spending the night with me.” Malia smiled.

Her smile faded when she saw that her son didn’t look too happy about the news that she’d just delivered. Lennox usually lit up when he would stay the night with her. He looked like he would rather be anywhere else now. She was sure it had a lot to do with her broken promise and she had to make things right.

“Lennox, baby, I’m sorry about not taking you to the fair. Something came up that was out of my control. Believe me, I would have rather been with you and Lance than anywhere else,” Malia said while holding her son’s hand.

“It’s okay. My dad and Faryn took us. We had fun,” Lance noted.

“Who is Faryn?” Malia asked, happy that she didn’t have to bring up the other woman first.

“She’s my daddy’s girlfriend and she’s pretty.” Lennox smiled.

“Does she live with y’all?” Malia questioned.

“No, but her house is pretty too,” Lennox answered.

“You’ve been to her house?” Malia inquired.

“Yeah, she cooks for us all the time. We were supposed to make banana splits tonight, but I can’t since I’m staying the night with you.”

“Does she sleep at your house?” Malia inquired.

“Yeah, she did last night.”

“Do you like her, Lennox?” Malia asked, feeling like she wanted to cry.

“Yeah, she’s nice to us. Lance likes her too. She’s his counselor,” Lennox noted.

“His counselor?” Malia asked in confusion.

“Yeah, he was fighting at school and Faryn helped him to stop. He’s been being good, and my daddy said that it’s because of Faryn,” Lennox noted, making things clearer.

Malia remembered Landon saying that Lance was seeing a behavior specialist, so that must have been the woman in question. Hearing that Lance was fond of the other woman had Malia in her feelings. He was shunning her and opening up to his father’s girlfriend

“Well, I’ll probably be coming back home soon,” Malia informed him.

“You are?” Lennox asked, confusion written all over his little face.

“Yes. Your father and I have been talking and we think it’s best if we all live together again. Wouldn’t you like that?” Malia questioned.

“What about Faryn?” Lennox asked.

“What about her? I’m your mother, not Faryn,” Malia replied.

“But, my daddy likes her. She’s gonna be sad if you move in our house and she can’t come over anymore.”
