“Are you serious right now Faryn?” Landon asked as he laughed hysterically.

“It’s not funny Landon!” Faryn yelled.

She tried to pull away from him, but his grip was too tight. He was laughing his ass off, and she was ready to swing on him.

“When’s the last time you saw your period?” Landon questioned with a smirk.

“What does that have to do with anything?” Faryn asked, when she couldn’t come up with an answer.

“Maybe my grandma was right,” Landon replied.

“Right about what?” Faryn asked.

“She thinks you’re pregnant and I think so too. Shit has been crazy with you lately and I’m sure that’s why. You cry for dumb shit and your attitude is ridiculous,” Landon noted.

“How would your grandmother know?” Faryn asked.

“She’s always the first to know that kind of shit. She knew when Malia was pregnant both times and she told Makena and Ava too. She even knew what everybody was having before we found out. She got some kind of sixth sense about that shit.”

“And she’s always been right?” Faryn asked.

“She hasn’t been wrong once,” Landon replied.

“Oh God. I can’t be pregnant,” Faryn sighed.

“Why not Faryn? All we do is fuck and you ain’t on no birth control. Shit, I was backed up for a whole damn year. I’m surprised it didn’t happen the first time we had sex.”

“That’s probably why I’ve been gaining so much damn weight. I guess I need to make a doctor’s appointment,” Faryn said.

“Yeah but, in the meantime, I need you to go handle this for me,” Landon said as he handed her the plastic bag that he walked in with not too long ago.

Faryn opened the bag and pulled out the boxes that were inside.

“Why do I need to take three pregnancy tests?” she questioned.

“I just got three different ones. I didn’t know which one was the best or more accurate. It’s been a while since I had to do this,” Landon replied.

He looked at her sideways when she put the boxes back in the bag and started playing on her phone.

“What?” Faryn questioned when she saw the look that he was giving her.

“You need to go take at least one of them right now,” he replied.

“I’m not ready yet. What if it’s positive?” Faryn asked.

“Then, we’re having a baby.” Landon shrugged.

“I know that, smart ass. I just don’t know if I’m ready to find out right now,” she noted.

“But, I need to know Faryn. It’s gonna kill me if I have to wait any longer,” Landon said anxiously.

“Okay, but I don’t think I have to pee right now,” she replied.

“Stop stalling and come on girl,” Landon said as he got up and picked her up with him.

Faryn was moving in slow motion as she watched him open one of the boxes and read the instructions. She had mixed emotions about having a baby, but she knew that Landon would have her back. The way that he took care of his kids was remarkable and that alone eased her fears. She didn’t have the best mother, but she was going to do things differently. Unlike her own mother, Faryn was prepared to put her child first. She already found herself doing that with Landon’s sons.

“You ready?” Landon asked her.
