“Real talk, Reanna, I like you and all but your sense of entitlement is gonna get you in trouble one day. I love my cousin, but Ferris is not the nigga that you wanna risk it all for. I don’t know what’s going on in your marriage and I’m not asking. But, if you want my unsolicited advice, you need to work that shit out cause ain’t a muthafucking thing out here. You just saw that firsthand.” With those parting words, Kela went back into the house and closed the door.

Reanna wanted to cry and, more than likely, she would. She just refused to do it on the doorstep of the nigga who just shitted on her. She rushed into her car, as Kela’s words played over in her head. She was right and she was doing way too much over Ferris. She was acting like she didn’t have a fine ass husband at home who could run circles around most niggas in looks and body.

She tried hard to think about when the problems in her marriage started. Blaze had a very high sex drive and she was surprised that she have never gotten pregnant. Then, it was as if someone had poured water onto a smothering fire overnight and the flames in their marriage went up in smoke. Blaze barely touched her anymore and that included kissing.

Just then, another thought came to mind as she replayed her and Blaze’s last argument. He basically told her that she didn’t look good and dressed even worse. The thought of him not being attracted to her never crossed her mind, but it had to besomething. Maybe he was getting it from someone else because he only touched her when he’d had too much to drink.

Then, she thought back to the other woman who seemed to have all of Ferris’ attention at the moment. She was obviously not from New Orleans judging by her accent and some of the things she’d said. Reanna didn’t see what was so special about her and she wondered where and how she and Ferris met. Everything on her was natural though, and Reanna had been having a lot of mixed feelings about her bodily enhancements lately. It seemed as if everything in her life started to change after her transformation.

The ringing of Reanna’s phone jolted her out of her daydream. Blaire had been calling her since the basketball game, but she wasn’t in the mood to talk. She was in a foul mood over everything that happened with Ferris and didn’t want to snap on her friend. Blaire ended up going to the game but Reanna was already gone. She sent her a text telling her that she left and hadn’t answered the phone since then.

“Hey girl.” Reanna blew out a breath of frustration.

“Damn bitch. Is it me or what? I’ve been trying to call you for a few days now. I got some tea that needs to be spilled.”

“Girl, I got enough tea to keep me hydrated for a while.”

“Well, spill it bitch! It sounds like yours is juicier than mine.”

“Can I ask you an honest question, Blaire?”

“Of course you can. You sound kinda down friend. Is everything okay or did my stupid ass brother do something to piss you off?”

“No, it’s nothing like that. But I just wanted your honest opinion about something.”

“Okay, I’m listening.”

“Do you think my work looks good or should I have just left it alone after the first time?”

“Bitch, you look amazing. Why? Did somebody say something to you?”

“Besides your brother, no. He made a few remarks about my body and attire a while ago that rubbed me the wrong way.”

“Girl, fuck Blaze. He’s just hating because other men are noticing what he doesn’t.”

“I’m just in a fucked up head space right now. Ferris was booed up at the game with some random bitch, and I haven’t really been hearing from him. Ask me why I just popped up at his house and the same bitch is there with him now.”

“I know you fucking lying! What happened?”

“Nothing happened. He basically acted like I was invisible and his cousin damn near threw me out like yesterday’s trash.”

“That’s fucked up! Niggas ain’t shit, including the one you married.”

“Why? What did he do now? I guess Bertha has been playing on his sympathy again cause he’s been over there more than he’s been home.”

“Yes, bitch, and there’s a reason. Remember I told you about the nurse that he hired for our Nana? You know, the bitch that me and my mama can’t stand.”

“Yeah, what about her?”

“I think he’s fucking that hoe,” Blaire replied, making Reanna’s heart do a swan dive in her chest. Granted, she had her suspicions but to have them somewhat confirmed was a different story altogether.

“What makes you say that?” Reanna’s heart was doing something unfamiliar in her chest and it tightened all of a sudden.

“Bitch, you left the game just a little too early. Baby, they were flirting and shit like they been doing this for a while. I saw them walk outside together and everything. If you would have answered your phone when I called, you could have come back around there and saw the shit for yourself.”

“What’s her name again?”

“Girl, Rearview, Remodel, Irrelevant, bitch, some weird shit that I always forget. It starts with an I or R. But I bet you she’s the reason why he’s always at my Nana’s house now. You out here feeling guilty for cheating on his ass and he’s doing him with the next bitch. That’s why you can’t get the dick. He’s giving it to that hoe. You need to show his ass that it is not a game. I love my brother, but that couldn’t be me.”
