“I had my body enhanced Blaze. Was shit really that bad?”

“Yeah, it was. I really didn’t want you to do the shit at all but I rolled with it when you did it the first time. I begged you not to go back, but you listened to my sister and did the shit anyway. Truthfully, I stopped being attracted to you after that and I wasn’t trying to fuck.”

Reanna tried to play the tough girl role but her feelings were hurt upon hearing that her husband was no longer attracted to her. As much as she wanted to keep fighting, she was swinging by herself. Blaze’s mind seemed to be made up,and she refused to beg him to stay. She grabbed a pen from the nightstand drawer and signed in every spot that was highlighted. She and Blaze didn’t have kids or assets to divide, so she didn’t have to read over anything.

“Here you go, you’re free.”

Reanna fought back tears as she handed him the papers back. A part of her wanted to hurt him the same way he’d hurt her and tell him that she had already moved on. She decided against it since Blaze had just offered to foot all the bills for a while. He did that already but he was no longer gonna be living there, so he didn’t have to.

“Preciate it.” Blaze didn’t seem like he had a care in the word and that really pissed her off.

“Wow. Blaire was right. Some men really are jealous of their women,” Reanna laughed sarcastically.

“Ask yourself when was the last time Blaire had a man. Thanks to following her lead, you just lost yours.” With that, Blaze grabbed the bags that he packed and headed for the front door.

Admittedly, Reanna was heartbroken. Although she and Blaze had their marital issues, she didn’t foresee it ending in divorce, especially one that he initiated. She just assumed that he would come to his senses one day and things would go back to the way they were. The ringing of her phone snapped her out of her depression momentarily. She was done playing mind games with Ferris and she quickly answered his call.

“Hey.” Reanna tried her best to sound better than she felt.

“What the fuck you mean hey? Nigga been calling you for a whole week. I miss you.”

“I miss you too, boo.”

“Come see me.”

Ferris was excited to know that he was about to get straight again. All he had to do was drop some dick off in Reanna, and it was all good from there. He had to get his money up before Monique came back and he needed his shit from her.

“You come see me.” Reanna knew that she was playing a dangerous game but she didn’t give a fuck. Blaze didn’t care about her feelings, and she cared even less about his.

“You must be high. I’m not coming nowhere near that man’s house.”

“This is my house boo. I filed for divorce and he moved out.”

Reanna would never tell the truth about how her marriage ended. The shit was too embarrassing to even think about. As much as she loved her condo, she knew that she would have to move once Blaze stopped paying all the bills. She wasn’t going broke trying to keep it.

“Nah, love. I’m a street nigga at heart and it’s a no for me. Ain’t nobody here right now, come pass through.” Ferris wasn’t even about to play that game with her. He didn’t know if she was being truthful or not, but he wasn’t taking no chances. Niggas have died for less.

“I’m on my way.”

Reanna hung up the phone and went straight to the shower to freshen up. She was hurt but she was sure that it would have been worse if she didn’t have Ferris as backup.Another man appreciated what Blaze took for granted and it was his loss.

“Man, stop playing and come see me,” Blaze said as he smiled on the phone like a schoolboy.

“I’m tired Blaze. I don’t feel like driving.”

“Well, send me your address and I’ll come get you.”

“I don’t feel like getting dressed either. Why can’t you just let me be lazy for once? I’m off and I don’t wanna do nothing.”

“I wanted to come chill by you, but your scary ass don’t want me to.”

“Don’t get it twisted nigga. Ain’t nothing scary about me. I just don’t trust myself around you, Blaze.”

“Why not? I’m always a perfect gentleman.”

“Yeah but I’m not trying to be a lady.”

“I’m always down for some freaky shit too. I’m a single man now. Just say the word and all that can change.”
