All hope was lost when the door opened and Blaze got out instead. Mav’s face twisted in anger upon seeing him driving the car that he’d paid so much for. If Ferris wasn’t out there, he would have paid one of the lil young niggas who hung in the area to flatten all four of the tires. It was petty but he didn’t give a fuck.
“Damn man, I thought that was my baby. I miss my girl. Fuck it, I’m telling my granny. She gon’ make her stubborn ass talk to me.”
“Well, it looks like you got another problem that you might need your granny to handle.” Mav laughed when he saw Reanna jumping out of the passenger’s side of Blaire’s car.
“This bitch.” Ferris sighed as he dropped his head.
He was just trying to ghost Reanna without all the extra bullshit. He was really trying not to hurt her feelings, but she was forcing his hand. Mav put his anger on the back burner for a while to be entertained by Ferris and his drama. Blaire knew her place, so she didn’t even get out of the car. She was so desperate for dick that she would never jeopardize her chances of getting it.
“What kinda games are you out here playing, Ferris?”
“Man, I don’t have time to be playing no games with you, Reanna. I thought you would get the hint when I blocked you.”
“Don’t send no hints, just be real. We’re both grown.”
“I got a girl, Reanna.”
“Wow, really Ferris, since when?”
“Since been, Reanna. Like you said, we’re both grown so let’s just leave it at that.”
“Nigga, you got the age of a man but you’re still a lil ass boy.”
“Alright man. You got that. I’m not trying to do no arguing.”
“Just keep it real, nigga. You couldn’t handle all this anyway.” Reanna had the nerve to run her hands over her body like she had some bad ass curves. That did it for Ferris and he was over sparing her feelings.
“That’s just it, nigga ain’t trying to handle that shit. Ole girl ain’t even your real friend. If she was, she would tell you that they fucked you up in the operating room. Shit, I’m happy to be rid of your ass. Nigga hated to even see you naked.”
“Fuck you, Ferris!” Reanna yelled angrily.
“I’m happy as hell that I don’t have to no more. That botched ass body. You served your purpose and did exactly what I needed you to do. I tried not to even go there with you, but you don’t know when to shut the fuck up. That’s just why Remi tagged that ass. Get the fuck on, Queen Ketamine.” Ferris laughed at the look on her face as realization set in. That was the nickname that Shiva had given her, and he thought it was funny as hell when she said it.
Blaire had heard enough and she was embarrassed for her friend. She regretted even telling her to go around there and she felt worse for driving her. She blew her horn, signaling toReanna to come back to the car. Once she did, she pulled off right as Reanna burst into tears. She didn’t foresee things with Ferris ending the way they did. She really thought that they were gonna be together when she and Blaze divorced but that obviously wasn’t happening. Ferris had basically used her to get what he needed and he wanted nothing else to do with her.
That was the second man that she’d been with who had something negative to say about her body. Blaze always told her that his sister was lying to her about her looks and she was starting to believe it. Her self-esteem took a nosedive after hearing Ferris say he didn’t even want to see her naked.
“What was that he said about ketamine? Please tell me that you weren’t taking that shit from your job for that nigga.”
“Okay, I won’t,” Reanna snapped angrily.
“Really, Reanna? That nigga was using you. Now, all this shit is starting to make sense.”
“Just do me a favor for once and shut the fuck up, Blaire!”
Reanna was already feeling low and she didn’t need her so-called best friend to make her feel worse. She was starting to question herself for always following her lead. She was too old to be somebody’s flunky, but that’s exactly what she seemed to be.
Usually, Blaire would pop off if Reanna told her something like that and they would end up arguing. Since she felt so guilty about everything, she let her have that. She drove Reanna home in silence and she didn’t even say goodbye when she dropped her off home. Blaire knew that her girl was hurt and angry. She’d gone through a lot over the past week and she knew that she probably needed some time to cool off. She would give it a day or two before she called to make sure she was good.
Reanna was over being a verbal punching bag for Ferris. She had something for his ass and it wasn’t gonna be pretty.
“HEy, baby, I just picked Mae up and we’re on our way,” Remi said when Blaze answered the phone.
“Alright, love. Tell her that I really appreciate it.”
“She can hear you. You’re on the car speaker.”
“You’re welcome, sweetheart. I don’t mind at all. Lollie is gone for the night and I was at home alone anyway.”
