“A bogus call basically, but she don’t have nothing to worry about. Her house is intact and they didn’t even search for nothing. A few of them knew your pops, so they called me before they did anything.”

“I know this is a shot in the dark, but do you know who called?”

“Nah but I’m damn sure gonna find out. My pops is on fire right now. You know your granny is like a second mother to him. Somebody must have told him what was going on because he called me cussing and fussing. I’m gonna get the call pulled to see who made it. I’m sure they didn’t use their phone, but maybe somebody will recognize the voice. Off the record of course.” Harry gave her a knowing look. He was gonna be going against every law that he swore to uphold, but Remi was family.

“No doubt.” Remi nodded in understanding.

“I’ll be in touch. Oh and congrats.” Harry smiled before walking away.

“Granny, you and Shiva get some clothes and come spend a few days with me and Blaze,” Remi said when she walked back over to them.

“In that big ole pretty house, I’m surely coming,” Viola replied, shocking her grandkids. They were still surprised that Lollie and Marva got her to get on the boat with them, but she loved it.

“Let me call somebody to come out here to replace this door.” Ferris walked off as he dialed a number on his phone.

Once they cleared the house, Remi and Shiva helped their granny pack a bag. Since she had school, Shiva decided to stay with Ferris instead. She felt better knowing that her granny was gonna be with Remi. She needed to talk to her brother to find out a few things anyway. Reanna thought that Ferris was bad but she was gonna find out the hard way that his baby sister was even worse.

“Bitch, I got tears coming out of my eyes.” Blaire was doubled over with laughter as she talked on the phone with her friend.

“At this point, it’s fuck his granny too. I wish they would have taken that old bitch to jail since he didn’t go. And his sister better pray that we never run into each other on the streets. I can’t stand that lil girl.”

If she could get away with murdering anybody, it would be a tossup between Remi and Shiva. That lil bitch took pictures of her when she was laid out on their granny’s floor and posted them on social media. She was calling Remi the knockout queen and naming Reanna as her latest victim. And if that wasn’t bad enough, she tagged them both in her post. Reanna forgot thatshe sent the lil spoiled hoe a friend request before she knew how she really was. She ended up blocking Shiva and making her page private.

Reanna didn’t know that Ferris no longer lived with his grandmother, but a quick search online revealed that bit of information. Her and Blaire were like some IG detectives as they looked on Blaze’s page to get to Remi’s. From there, they went through her list of friends until she found the page that belonged to his new bitch.

Just like Reanna assumed, she wasn’t from and didn’t live in New Orleans. That dumb bitch damn near showed the entire moving process but she didn’t mention where he lived. She also found out that she was the reason why Ferris used to always disappear for weeks at a time. He used to be visiting her in Arizona. Either that or she was in New Orleans and he ignored Reanna until she left. She was a nurse too and a friend of Remi’s. That was yet another reason for her to hate her ex-husband’s new bride.

Reanna was hurt for more reasons than one. Not only had Ferris made a fool of her, Blaze was now remarried and expecting a baby with his wife. He moved on fast as hell and her feelings were hurt. It was almost as if his marriage to her had never existed. He gave Remi everything that he promised to give her in the beginning of their marriage but failed to deliver. Remi was already beautiful and pregnancy agreed with her. Her stomach was huge and so were the smiles on her and Blaze’s faces. Everything was happening so fast that she barely had time to process it all.

The cars were one thing but the house that they lived in was nothing short of amazing. Reanna cried for hours when she saw it and she was embarrassed. She was married to Blaze foryears and didn’t get half as much. Her condo was a doghouse compared to how he had his new wife living. In a way, hurting their granny and Ferris was hurting Remi too. Ferris always said how much she loved the old lady so that gave her a little pleasure too. She wanted badly to deal with Remi some more but she didn’t know how to go about doing it. Remi had embarrassed her in front of Blaze and that was unacceptable.

Reanna wasn’t a thug, so making a phone call to the police was the most that she would probably do. She should have been done it when Blaire gave her the idea, but it still didn’t yield any results.

“Girl, you got me about to pee on myself,” Blaire laughed, pulling Reanna away from her depressing thoughts.

“What’s going on with your Nana’s house? Did your mama and her siblings figure that out yet?”

“I don’t even know. Flo seems to be the shot caller so I guess they’re following her lead. My mama is so hurt though. She said she’s not gonna even have a relationship with her first grandbaby.”

“Girl bye. Jean don’t even have a relationship with Blaze. His stupid ass let that bitch isolate him from his whole family.”

“I can’t believe that he got that hoe living in a castle but wanna still hold on to my Nana’s house. Baby, they was all in Jamaica and shit, living it up with my Nana’s money. I know Zita feel dumb as fuck for doing so much. She didn’t get a dime when my Nana died.”

“I thought you said that he was paying her to help out with Bertha.”

“He had to be. I’m telling you, girl, Zita and her daddy don’t do shit for free. He was the one who Blaze was talking about when he said that they were charging Nana gas money to bring her to doctor’s appointments.” Blaire left out her mother who used to do the same thing.

“I hate that shit played out the way it did, but your Nana obviously set it up that way for him to have so much access to it.”

“She ain’t give him access to shit. He was living with her so getting her information was easy.”

“Shit, by the time they get control of it, there won’t be anything left to spend.”

“And they need to sue his ass if so. But, from what I heard, she got her own money. They said that her daddy died and left her a lot of money and property. And these stupid ass niggas out here cashing out on that hoe like she’s broke.”

Blaire was not only speaking of her brother; she was talking about Mav too. He was just as stupid as her brother was and that’s exactly why Kiva left his ass. She was working in another shop and rumors were starting already. She was supposedly dating the man who owned the shop. One of Mav’s cousins called and told him when they were together, and he was pissed. Blaire was pissed too because he left her house without giving her the dick that she was craving.

“Fuck all these niggas! I’m bout to bring my ass back to school and stack my paper.”
