Reanna didn’t tell her friend but she had been looking into getting her BBL reversed as well. She really took a good look at herself in the mirror one day and she had to be honest. She was never a big woman and her legs were too small for all thatass. She compared photos from when she had the first round done and it looked much better. It looked natural and went with her frame.

“Bitch, help me understand how you wanna be a vet and you don’t even really like pets.”

“I don’t know what the fuck I was on when I did that. I’m thinking about changing my major though. I like the medical field but I’m not sure what I really wanna do.”

“I’m not trying to be working for nobody for the rest of my life. I’m trying to be my own boss.”

“And do what? Bitch, you barely made it through high school. What kind of business are you gonna run?”

“Don’t try to come for me because you’re pissed that your side nigga ain’t in jail. I can’t believe that you put your job in jeopardy over his ass.”

The entire hood was talking about how the police had run up in Viola’s house. Blaire was the one who told her that nothing was found in the house and no arrests were made.

“I’m pissed that I gave that nigga a whole case of the shit the day that everything went down. Just thinking about it got me heated all over again. As much as I hate Ferris, I hate your new sister-in-law more.” Reanna would never get over the fight that she had with Remi, but she wasn’t dumb enough to run up on her. Ferris tried to warn her multiple times before, but she found out the hard way.

“That bitch ain’t no sister-in-law of mine. I still can’t believe that he married the bitch so fast.”

“Like my grandma used to say, it doesn’t take a nigga long to know what he wants. Now, my question is, who wants you? You be all up in my business and be tight lipped about yours.”

Reanna thought back to what Blaze used to constantly tell her. She was always listening to Blaire and she had never even had a husband before. Hell, if she were being honest, Blaire could barely keep a man. She was never opposed to sleeping with somebody else’s though.

“See, unlike some of you hoes, I’m not looking for love. I do like these niggas do. I stick and move.” Blaire laughed to mask her real feelings. She, just like most other women, wanted love but she had never been lucky enough to find it. She always ended up being the side bitch. Although she hated it, she played her role well. She wanted what her brother had but she was too much like her mother to get it.

“Yeah right. I know you, Blaire. You’re either fucking with somebody else’s man or nobody at all.”

“Wouldn’t you like to know?” Blaire teased.

“Girl, let me bring my ass back in this building. Five can’t get here fast enough. I’m so tired.”

“Well, I don’t have to ask you what you’re doing after work.”

“Why? What did you have in mind?”

“You just said that you’re tired. I wanted to catch happy hour.”

“I’m work tired, not happy hour tired.” Reanna laughed, making her friend laugh with her.

“Okay cool. How does seven work for you?”

“It’s a date,” Reanna replied before she hung up the phone.

Her hour-lunch break was over, so she got out of her car and walked back into the building. She busied herself for the next four hours until it was time to clock out. She was ready to unwind with her girl and have a few drinks.

“Reanna, can I see you in my office for a minute?” Lena, her supervisor, asked when she saw her walk away from the time clock.

“Sure.” Reanna smiled, even though she was pissed.

Lena was known for not respecting other people’s time. She always waited until it was time to leave to wanna talk and ask questions. Renna sighed as she walked to her office and tapped on the door. She was about to sit down in front of Lena’s desk before she stopped her.

“No need to sit, this won’t take very long. Effective immediately, your employment here is terminated.”

Reanna saw her lips moving. She even heard the words come out of her mouth but she couldn’t believe what she was hearing.

“Terminated! For what? I’m your best employee and you’ve admitted that multiple times yourself.”

“Shame on me for thinking so. You’re a thief, nothing more or less.”

“Now, you got me fucked up!” She was already fired, so there was no need for her to continue being professional. Shewas baffled as to how they even figured that out. She had been doing it for years and nobody was none the wiser. The only people who knew about it were Ferris and Blaire, or so she assumed.
