Episode 1: New Beginnings, Uploaded (October 1st)

A view of Jonathon Island’s Main Street fills the screen, panning from the picturesque lake to Good Day Coffee before transitioning to a shot of Daisy as she steps onto the screen.

“Hi, friends! Daisy here.” She smiles into the camera, her eyes gleaming with excitement. She is wearing her standard uniform: a white T-shirt under a bright set of lavender overalls with a daisy on the front pocket. Her hair is pulled into a high pony, a few long strands framing her face. “I’m here in the world’s cutest little small town, Jonathon Island. And I have some exciting news!”

She steps back and the camera cuts to a wide shot of the Barrett house in the late afternoon light, flashing a montage of detail shots of the door, the stairs, the porch, before cutting back.

“You guessed it! This stunning Queen Anne-style Victorian is going to be the very first project on my new show,House to Home.” She moves toward the house, the camera following her as she stops beside the front steps. “And I’m not doing it alone!”

Daisy gestures off camera once, twice, and then finally reaches out of screen, dragging back a reluctant Hunter a moment later. “This is Hunter, he’s a design professional with tons of experience, and we’re teaming up for this special project.”

She glances expectantly at Hunter, who gives a solemn nod.

Turning back to the camera as though Hunter has just given the world’s most engaging speech, Daisy continues, “So let’s get started…”

Episode 2: Porch Perfect, Uploaded (October 3rd)

The camera pans over the now slightly less wild front lawn of the Barrett house, the foliage having been recently cut back. Daisy and Hunter can be seen seated on a picnic blanket surrounded by sketches and fabric swatches. Daisy, now in pink overalls, sits with her legs folded, her sweater discarded on the warm day, a piece of paper in her hand, and a carpenter’s pencil behind her ear. Hunter sits beside her, leaning back with an elbow on his knee.

“When tackling a renovation project, it’s crucial to start with a strong foundation. For us, that means beginning with the porch and staircase—the first things you see when approaching the house,” Daisy’s voice says over the footage.

Hunter leans closer, his shoulder brushing hers as he points to something on the page.

Daisy’s voiceover continues, “Now that we’ve got a plan for the outside of the house, Hunter can get started ordering supplies and pulling a permit so we can tear up the decking on the porch and replace the turned columns, which are no longer structurally sound, with more modern, but still timeless, rounded double columns.”

The camera cuts to a shot of Daisy walking up the interior staircase, her hands gliding expressively over the banister, as Hunter follows, a few steps below. “I think we need to do something really special with this banister, something that will really draw the eye up.”

She turns to face him and slips, her foot catching on one of the carpeted treads. She reaches for the banister, teetering backward with a small gasp.

Hunter moves forward, his hands wrapping around her waist as he steadies her.

For a moment, they are both frozen, Daisy’s hands clutching his shoulders, her eyes wide with shock…or…

“Careful,” Hunter murmurs, stepping back.

The voiceover resumes, “Boy am I glad to have that guy around…”
