@User8978: Love the double column idea.

Episode 3: Just call me Demo Daisy, Uploaded (October 10th)

The camera cuts to a shot of Hunter and Daisy, standing together in the grass, looking at a blueprint, as Daisy points at something on the house. Her voice fills the scene, “You know I always love to hit the ground running. That’s what a solid plan is all about. And thankfully, that’s exactly what we will be able to do after Hunter makes a few calls and gets our permit expedited. Turns out, the town revitalization council is just as excited to see this house come back to life as we are! And not a moment too soon, because we only have a few weeks before snow falls.”

“Thanks to Hunter’s local connections, we are also able to get our supplies lined up crazy fast. So don’t expect this kind of timeline at home, folks.” The shot pans to the road just as two horses crest the hill, a large wagon filled with lumber and supplies tugging along behind them. The camera zeros in on the rugged man leading the team of horses. “And if you think you recognize our delivery guy, you’re right. That’s Asher Quinn, or as you might know him, Eli Noble, famed musician…and also, apparently, horse guy.”

The shot transitions with a time-lapse as the sun sets behind the house and rises again on the horizon before cutting to Hunter, leaned up against the porch, his sleeves rolled up despite the autumn evening air, a sledgehammer in his hands. Two steps up the landing behind him, Waylen sits with a crowbar across his knees.

Daisy steps into the shot. “Finally, it’s demo day here at the house!” She lifts her arms, revealing another sledgehammer, this one in her own gloved hands. She backpedals, joining her team by the stairs. “As you know, Hunter and I have been working almost around the clock to get the porch done before it gets too cold. So Hunter brought along his brother today to help us out.”

She turns and Waylen waves at the camera.

“Feel free to swoon, ladies,” he says with a cheeky grin. “Unlike my brother here, I’m on the market.”

Hunter’s cheeks redden slightly, and he clears his throat, running a hand over the back of his neck.

“And with that burning question out of the way,” Daisy cuts in, a hint of sarcasm to her voice, “let’s get to work!”

Episode 4: Just a couple weekend warriors, Uploaded (October 17th)

The episode opens with Daisy, sporting a set of burnt-orange corduroy overalls, her hair in a floppy bun on the top of her head. She sits on a pile of lumber, a hammer in one hand and leaning back on the other. Hunter stands in front of the pile, leaning back with a quirked smile on his lips as though they’ve just been sharing a laugh moments before the camera is rolling.

“Hey, fam! Daisy and Hunter here, and we want to start this episode off with a HUGE thank you for all the love and support the channel has been getting these past few weeks.” She glances at her partner who nods in agreement. “We still have a lot of work to do, but first, let’s get you caught up!”

The camera cuts to a shot of the bare bones of the porch, the decking removed and discarded into a pile on the grass. Daisy’s voiceover starts just as a team of men arrives, with Hunter in the lead as they begin rebuilding. “What a crazy weekend! We made some incredible progress on the porch, thanks to some extra helping hands. Hunter was able to wrangle a few of his friends down at Barrett Construction into helping us for the weekend.”

A montage of shots fills the screen, showing different angles of work being done. Daisy can be seen among them with a nail gun in her hand.

The scene transitions to a time-lapse shot of the porch columns being removed, the workers moving in fast-forward as they lift, place, and secure the new columns, placing two side by side, where each one had been.

The scene ends and Daisy and Hunter fill the screen, sitting on the top step of the newly finished, yet still unpainted porch. The evening light casts blue shadows over their faces, the gold of the sun still dimly lighting the scene.

Hunter turns toward his costar, a quiet breath rising and falling in his chest. “You were right,” he says.

Daisy gives him a coy look. “Oh really?”

His gaze drops to her lips for just a breath. “Really.”

“About what?” She laughs.

He gestures toward the columns. “I was a skeptic.”

“As usual,” she chimes.

“But they look nice.”

The shot pulls back to show the two of them, shoulders brushing, under the setting-sun sky.

Daisy slumped back at her desk, her shoulders sore from two weeks of nonstop work. Each day had been filled from sunup to sundown. Every morning, Daisy woke to a laundry list of items: post socials, upload all footage from the previous evening and send them to Robin to edit, make a run to the mainland for building supplies, return in time to meet Hunter after work, work until the sun went down, wait for Robin to send her the edited video, post it. Sleep. Repeat.
