Cadence giggled. “She’s an excellent hugger.”

Tirra sighed and backed away slightly. “Can I give you a kiss for luck?”

Leska winced. “I wouldn’t.”

“Tough.”

Tirra leaned in and put a kiss on her cheek. Leska felt the surge of power through her skin and winced as she held herself together. “Thanks.”

Tirra chuckled. “The luck should hold you for a week.”

Leska took a deep breath and stowed the luck. She held out her hands, and Tirra took them. The luck flowed back to Tirra. “Sorry. I binged.”

Tirra looked at her hands. “How did you...”

Leska held up glowing hands. “Sisters!”

Tirra paused and laughed.

Cadence smiled happily in Raek’s arms. She didn’t begrudge Leska the sibling. Leska had never had one before.

Salat said, “The babies are sleeping right now, so why don’t we go and check on the build. Zera redirected them here when Khytten said she wanted to learn how to do what Leska does.”

Tirra asked, “What does Leska do?”

Leska chuckled. “Pole dance, but the pole moves.”

“Seriously? I went to a festival with an acrobat like that. She also used ribbons to fly.”

They were walking over, and Cadence started laughing. “If it was within the last five years, it was Leska. Maybe Andrews, but he’s a guy.”

Tirra blinked. “Andrews?”

Leska snorted. “Yes, I know he’s an escort. Great dancer, though. Excellent ribbon partner.”

Tirra chuckled. “Oh, that is not on his résumé, but it will be.”

They walked up to the workers, who were professional and making sure that things were level, which Leska certainly appreciated.

The ribbon rig was going up, and Khytten was watching with wide eyes.

Leska started getting into her workout gear, and when her leggings were on, she pulled her dress off and put on her sports bra.

Tirra gasped. “Your back!”

“It’s fine. Khytten’s working on it.”

Khytten said, “Tirra used to have fire damage. Plasma damage actually. She’s fine now.”

“Torenne and Khytten worked me over.”

Salat cocked his head. “So, you don’t have a problem with nudity.”

“Nope.”

“And you are Tirra’s sister and Nelith’s offspring, more or less.”

“Yup.” Leska knew where he was going, but she wasn’t going to help him.
