He kisses my tears and shifts his hips, driving deeper.

“Crew,” I breathe his name.

“I’m right here. Right here with you.”

My fingertips dig into his back as my orgasm comes on so fast I couldn’t stop it if I tried. I cry out and he thrusts harder and faster. A few moments later, he yells out my name and collapses, panting against my shoulder.

I wait for him to move, but he doesn’t, and I realize he’s fallen asleep, inside of me in more ways than one.

“You’re not alone, Bee. I’m right here,” Crew reassures me as we’re standing outside of Grady’s house.

All my brothers and their families are here. They think this is just a run-of-the-mill barbecue, but it’s so that I can tell them about my surgery in two weeks.

This is going to be the worst day of my life.

Well, that’s a lie, but it’ll be up there.

I nod, take his hand, and walk around the back.

“Brynn! Crew!” Phoebe calls out first and comes to give us each a hug. “You looked so regal on that float. I told Asher that next year, he’ll have to dress in formal wear.”

Asher scoffs. “Not happening, sweetheart!” He raises his tongs from the grill and we both wave back. “Don’t listen to a word she says.”

“My money is on your soon-to-be wife. You have what? Five days left?”

Asher looks to Phoebe and there’s a hesitation there. “About that . . .”

Phoebe sighs heavily. “I guess we should tell them?”

My brother nods and turns to me. “The wedding is off.”

“What?” I screech and move to them. “Why? What did you do?”

He chuckles and turns to her. “Told you it would be my fault.”

Phoebe grins. “We got married a week ago.”

Shock causes my body to lock and it takes me a second to recover. “You what?”

“We got married. We hopped on a plane last weekend, went to Vegas, got married and came home the next day. We didn’t want to tell you because you’ve been so busy and I didn’t think that was a phone call kind of news. We told Rowan and Grady when we got back.”

My gaze moves to Phoebe. “But you guys wanted a wedding.”

She shakes her head. “I never did. Honestly, after your wedding, Asher and I were like, this is so not us. We canceled everything the night we got back and then . . . ran off. It was truly perfect.”

I look to my brother. “Wow.”

He chuckles. “We’ll have a party after Phoebe graduates and we’ll do it right then. For now, she’s my wife and that’s all I cared about.”

I move to him, giving him a hug. “Congratulations.”

“Thanks. She’s everything I’ve ever wanted and we’re both happy.”

Phoebe tilts her head to the side. “Aww, my marshmallow’s all burned on the outside but gooey in the middle. I love you too. I couldn’t imagine hitching my wagon to anyone else.”

I love that they’re so in love. Phoebe wanted to wait until she had the baby and was settled in school. She loves Penn State, so much more than she ever thought she would. It has allowed her to be close to home and also still work with the app company that is working on making an ASL interpretation program for the phone. It’s been really interesting so far and would help the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community so much. To be able to open their phones and have the camera be able to communicate with those who can’t sign would change lives.
