“Kiss me.” He commanded coarser than planned. Dropping his head on his neck, he was nerves and tension and hunger pounding through his temples. “Gia …give me your mouth.”

One second, she was there, the next Gia was up on her toes grasping his face, pulling him that last inch.

Her tongue was an aggressive thrust.

Holy shit, he hadn’t expected that from Gia. For her to be so commanding over him, to take and possess. He about fell into her sweet mouth.

Her scent a different sort of high than the green he smoked.

It wrapped itself around Hawk’s every limb until he was panting into her mouth.

His fingers were sloppy grabbing her narrow hips.

Not like her had a lot of fucking practice kissing a woman.

He had more in common with a bull in mating season than he did being tender with a woman.

He fucked because he was horny.

He didn’t go softly.

And he didn’t feel a thing for them.

When she touched her fingers to his biceps they flexed.

The same when those same two hands ran up to his pecs. And when she twined them around his neck he hunkered down to her smaller size. Giving his mouth freely. Letting her play with his tongue.

While he died a thousand times over.

Hawk didn’t have much of a brain, but as Gia licked slowly over his teeth, what he did have turned to fucking glue.

He couldn’t take it.

He grabbed her waist, intent on tossing her onto her neatly made bed and getting his mouth between her thighs and satisfying them both.

But a banging on the door downstairs ripped them apart.

It was no friendly knocking anything.

Gia’s eyes rounded, and he stopped her from advancing towards the door.

His first thought was it was no one he wanted at her doorstep this time of night.

“Stay here. I’ll get it.” Hawk switched damn fast from a man in the advance stages of throwing down and rutting to that of a protector as he stomped down the stairs and wrenched open the door prepared to strangle whoever the fuck it was banging that way.

Ajax Mad-dog Marinos glared at him from the doorstep.

CHAPTER TWELVE

“Would I be happy if my daughter wanted a maniac? Hell no.” - Ajax

Oh, look who the fuck it is.

The nasty glare came right after the hit of surprise.

Hawk didn’t let it affect him. The worst this man could have ever done had been done and he was no longer the same kid easily intimidated.

He put his full body in the doorway and waited. He’d avoided the former VP ever since he landed in Texas. Seeing him up close with the backdrop of the moon behind him, maybe he was tipping the scale into his sixties now. Rider’s old man was weathered and still as ornery as ever from the look he was giving Hawk.
