“She was worried.”

He’d spank her. Then kiss it better.

“I knew you’d come after Ruiz. It was just a question of when. You know, that’s why I stepped in. Too many witnesses to tie you to murder.”

Lawless nodded and stepped up to his bike. “I know.”

The pair rode back to the club together. Rider raised a hand as he took the private road to his house.

Lawless cleaned up inside before he dressed in fresh clothes and then headed home.

He wanted free of the smell of death before he climbed into bed with Angela.

She was waiting in the living room and came right to him.

“Is it done?”

She hadn’t even known where he’d been going, but he saw on her delicate face she’d guessed, anyway. Cupping her cheek, he leaned down and tapped a kiss on her lips. “Of course. Up to bed, we have business.”

The hot pulse went through the room, and he smirked at her startled look, which turned dreamy in no time.

“Really? Are we going to fuck every time you murder someone?”

She was goddamn perfect for him.

His dick hurt, and the organ in his chest she owned banged loudly.

“Maybe,” he answered, tapping her ass to get her moving.

“I love you.”

You are the love of my monstrous life. The breath in a body that hasn’t lived until you stormed into it.

She raced ahead of him and was ripping off her sleep clothes when he reached the bedroom.

Yeah, he thought, licking his lips, watching her. Pretty fucking perfect for him.

THIRTY-NINE

“The one with no boner and a private plane.” - Jay Benz

The air was thick with sexual possibilities, and the man was looking to get laid.

He requested a private booth, and he wanted someone with a giving mouth to blow him before he fucked a tight hole.

Ordering a neat scotch from the male server, he noticed a crowd gathered around the viewing room. Even the club owner was idled with his shoulder to a wall.

“What’s going on there?” he asked the guy who brought his drink.

“That’s one of our most esteemed dominants, sir. You should try to get a seat. I can guarantee you don’t want to miss whatever show Lawless offers tonight.”

The name dropped like cement in Jay’s stomach, icing him over.

Penn. Of course.

And it wouldn’t take a genius to guess who was with him.

Being away from Denver while he recovered from the gunshot wound, he knew now he’d chosen the wrong day to come back to sign the house sale papers and to tie up other loose ends.
