Lawless had distinct tones in his mechanical-sounding voice, and she recognized them all. This one said he wasn’t fucking around, and she better do as she was told.

Holding back a grin, feeling light and aroused by his grumpy nature, she looked at the compact interior of the Mustang and knew she was about to break an ankle or a hip.

Making it work somehow, she shimming across to sit sideways on his lap, narrowly avoiding being impaled by the steering wheel.

“You still haven’t touched a dollar of the money in your bank account.”

“Because it’s yours!”

Smack. “Don’t interrupt me.”

Angela smiled as the top of her thigh tingled, and she nuzzled his face scruff.

“And myaveragedick was more than enough for you this morning.”

“It was adequate,” she goaded, to watch his eyes flare.

Angela had never wanted a boyfriend. Instead, she’d wanted a monster.

And now she owned one as much as Lawless owned every part of her.

“We can’t play roadside games, we’ll be arrested, and I’m not lawyered up yet, so I won’t be able to get you out. And I don’t like the idea of a prison conjugal.”

“So sure I’ll get caught.”

“You got caught last time.”

Smack. This time, she moaned and rested her nose against his.

“Never gonna let that go, are you?”

“Nope.”

“Now tell me what you were thinking in that big brain of yours.” She preened. It was crazy to get off on his praise.

“After the party tonight, I have a week before classes start. Maybe we could go away somewhere for a few days.”

Those few snowed-in days with Lawless made her greedier for his sole attention. Not that she was lacking in that department. Whatever she wanted, she only had to say, and ta-da, it was there not long after.

“Where do you want to go?”

“I’d like to learn how to ski. Even Harper is better than me,” she chuckled. “Do you ski?”

“I like my legs unbroken, angel. But if that’s where you want to go, I’ll sort it out.”

Her heart swooned, and she nuzzled his mouth for a bit of roadside kissing.

“You’re ruining me, Lawless. You make me greedier every day for you.”

His eyes darkened, fingers tightening in her hair. “I don’t feel like a regular human, but what I feel for you is limitless. It has no corners or morals; it lurks in the shadows. I would kill and steal for you. I would dig down to the center of the earth with my bare hands if you were hiding from me. If you’re greedy, Angela, then I’m a starved man.”

“Damn, don’t you sound terrifying,” she shivered with a big, in love grin on her face.

He was incredible.

And all hers.

Finally.
