“Hey,” I say to the guy.

Then gunshots erupt outside the room.

“What the hell?” He runs out of the room, leaving the door open.

“Get down!” I yell as we all force our chairs to the floor.

Delaney runs to my side and gets beside me.

Footsteps come toward us, and we are sitting ducks. But then I heard a familiar voice.

“Ozzie? Coff?” Axel yells.

“In here!” Ozzie yells.

Axel steps into the room and assesses the situation.

“I’m so happy to see you,” Ozzie says. “But talk about cutting it close.”

Axel unties Ozzie, who then runs to me to untie me while Axel stands guard at the door.

“It took us a few minutes to realize that message from Coff was you guys needing help. I thought you butt texted.”

I untie Delaney as Ozzie unties my brother.

“How did you find us?” Brian asks.

“Durango made us all have a tracking app on our phones,” I say as I untie him.

Brian stands up and rubs his wrists. “They didn’t take your phones?”

“Not mine,” I say.

“Nor mine,” Ozzie says.

“That’s odd,” Brian says.

Tattoo was the one who tied us up. It would have been him to grab the phones. Maybe he really does have a conscience.

CHAPTER27

Delaney

We hear someone coming,and Logan steps in front of me as a woman walks into the room holding a gun. I step back.

“Harding?” Coff asks. “What the hell are you doing here?”

The woman shakes her head. “I can ask the same about you guys. But let’s save the conversation for later. You need to get out of here. Ruiz has another team on the way, and I’d like to avoid more bodies.”

Logan takes my hand and follows the guys out of the room. I’m still wondering who the hell this woman is, but she seems to be in charge, and the guys are following her instructions.

“Is Ruiz dead?” Brian asks.

Harding shakes her head. “He’s in custody.”

She leads us out of the building to two black SUVs parked across the street. “Get in,” she tells us.
