“Indy! Shut up! I’m not pregnant!” Raine shouted.

“There’s only one way to be sure,” Zayn said with a grin. “Take a test.”

“Why are you in women’s business? You need to go get some tests for your harem of women to see how many babies you got on the way,” Mari said.

“You jealous?”

Mari scrunched her nose. “Eww!”

“Thank you, sis. Stay outta women’s business, Zayne,” Raine said, walking away, pouting, and pretending to check on RJ, who was still sound asleep. Shyne followed her, and I watched as they exchanged a few words.

“Look what you started,” Breeze said from behind me, repeating his sister’s words.

He wrapped his arm around my body, pulling me close before leaning down to kiss my neck.

“She’ll be alright. RJ could use a sibling.”

“He could use a cousin too.”

“Since you refuse to wear rubbers, he’ll have one sooner rather than later.”

“I think you both should take a test,” he suggested.

“Who?”

“You and Raine. As a matter of fact, I’ll run down to the pharmacy and get a few. Aye, Shyne! Let me holla at you for a minute.”

He released me and headed toward Shyne before I could stop him. I watched him share his plans with Shyne as I thoughtabout the possibility of being pregnant. I didn’t feel pregnant, but my body had been healing, and I may have missed the signs.

“We’ll be right back,” Breeze announced to everyone.

“Hold on. Where y’all going?” Ms. Natavia asked from the deck.

“To get some pregnancy tests,” Shyne responded as he and Breeze disappeared around the side of the house.

“Pregnancy tests!” Ms. Natavia exclaimed. “Who’s pregnant?”

“Not me!” all three of her daughters exclaimed.

“Me either!” Mari declared.

“Don’t look at me,” Yvonne added.

“That only leaves the two of you,” Ms. Natavia surmised, looking between me and Raine.

“You can’t take their word for it. How can they be so sure they aren’t pregnant?” I attempted to shift the attention from me and Raine.

“My cycle just ended,” Noelani announced.

“Mine started today,” Talia shared.

“I’m not having sex,” Indira confessed.

“Jacob, you got anything for us to do up there?” Zayn asked as he and Adan stood.

“You should hurry and catch up with Shyne and Breeze to grab those tests for your roster of women,” Mari said.

“The way you keep coming for me, you act like you wanna be one of them.”
