Archer sent me an eyeroll emoji, whichIbrushed off entirely.Iknew a badass whenIsaw one, and this woman would fit right in.

An hour later, she was out the door with hiring paperwork in hand, set to come back next week for onboarding as long as her background check came back clean.

Feeling exceptionally proud of myself sinceIhad found our newest hire, and a female to boot,ItreatedCatand myself to sushi lunch delivery.Anhour later, we had gone back to our respective desks, when a man walked into the office with flowers.

“RuthieCampbell?” the man asked.

“That’s me,”Itold him.

“Delivery for you,” he replied, handing me the device to sign.
