We both watch as the golden speckles fade away, leaving the prisms to shine their respective colors again.

“I didn’t think it was possible to like this… curse,” he says as we hug and kiss.

“I didn’t think it was possible to feel this… happy.”

He smiles at my words.

“Are you happy?” he asks softly.

“Very.” I touch his face lightly. “If I could sleep in the water, I would,” I say, realizing we’ll have to get out eventually.

“I don’t want to stop touching you, kissing you. I just want to… cuddle you in bed.” He kisses me softly.

I hug him tight. We stay like that for a while, until we both know it’s time.

“My skin is peeling off,” I say, looking at my hands as I dry myself off.

“Do you really have to go to work tomorrow?”

“Yes, and I thought you had a flight to catch.”

“I don’t want to go anywhere, or do anything else,” he tells me.

“What about Jo’s surgery?”

“I guess I should be there for that.”

“Hoyt?”

He looks at me.

“We’ll figure it out.” I know he understands what I mean.

“I’m starving,” I say, putting on a soft robe.

“Let’s order the entire menu,” he jokes, handing me the piece of paper.

“Everything does look amazing, especially the desserts.”

We sit on the bed, waiting for the food, when I ask him, “Have you gone to see your mom again?”

“No, but Jo has.”

“Do you think your mother’s lullaby could hold some truth?”

“I used to think so, that maybe there were seven prisms, like it says, seven sparkles.”

“And now you don’t?”

“After seeing her, I think it could just be random words put together.”

“It does say that they attract each other. And also mentions… the sixth sense.”

“I know, I’ve gone mad going over those words growing up. Even if it’s the truth, it also tells us nothing that matters.”

We hear a buzz, and Hoyt goes to open the elevator door.

“Oh my god! You did order the entire menu!” I say, eying all the food.
