He blows out a breath. “Can’t do that,” he says on a shrug.
“What?” The longer I spend around him, the more I want to punch him. “Don’t you want the captain position? Isn’t that why you blackmailed me?”
“I do,” he says, narrowing his eyes at me. “But like I said, Aiden, I don’t want you off the team.” He shrugs. “Besides, with your little drug problem, I’ve stepped in as Captain.” His grin is so smug and I almost smile, knowing I have him right where I want him.
“How did you do it?” I ask him. “How did you mess with the drug tests?”
“I didn’t.” My brows furrow in annoyance. I know it was him. I need him to admit it. “That was all you.”
“What are you talking about? I haven’t taken any drugs.”
He laughs, shaking his head. “You did. You just didn’t know you did.”
“What?”
“You’re so careless with your drinks,” he says, crossing his arms. “It was almost too easy dropping it in there.”
My heart races at the realization of what he did. “You drugged me?” I grit out.
He rolls his eyes. “Relax. It’s not like you’re not used to it.” Motherfucker. I want to hit him so bad. “It was half a pill. Not enough to affect you, but enough to show up on the test.”
I wipe a hand down my face. The more he talks, the less control I have, and I need control right now. “All of this because of jealousy?” I ask him, shaking my head. “Just release the pictures, Jordan. You’ll get what you want.”
“And you?” he asks. “What will you get?”
“Maybe nothing. Hopefully everything,” I admit, clenching my jaw. “Either way I have nothing to lose.”
He laughs, shaking his head. “Is she really worth all of this?”
Without a fucking doubt. “Yes.”
“Well, that’s too bad.” He shrugs. “I don’t have them.”
“What do you mean you don’t have them?”
“I deleted them,” he says. “You did what I wanted you to do.” He runs his tongue over his teeth. “You hurt that bitch, just like she hurt me.”
“She didn’t hurt you. She rejected you, and you were too much of a man-child to accept she wanted nothing to do with you.”
He glares. “Doesn’t change anything. You still dumped her like I wanted you to.” My fists curl. “I have no reason to release the pictures.”
Fuck.
I played right into his hand.
I shake my head, racing out of that place before I put him in the ground. My hands reach for my phone, scrolling through the messages he sent on his burner phone. The pictures are all still there.
I’ve got nothing else to lose.

Secret’s out
The girls are all crowded together, looking down at their phones when I walk into the café.
“Hey,” I say, approaching them. They all look at me and then look back at each other. My brows knit together. “What’s wrong?”
“Have you checked your phone?” Madi asks.
