I knowit’s killing her, but for once Greer has let me take lead.

It’s going to be hard to set up, but we can do it. Greer was so focused on the hell this hacker was raising that she never once questioned why they were targeting her. I did.

Conor is digging into what I need him to without knowing all the details. Her past. It’s obvious that this person isn’t targeting me. If they were, they would release the documents showing me as the thief. That would end my life quicker than Greer ever would.

No, this person wants Greer to suffer. For that alone, they will die by my hand. I don’t even care if it is the Pope himself, this person will regret the day they ever decided to mess with my woman.

Greer’s doing what she needs to, though. She’s doing some digging herself on a newly built laptop with even more security than she had before. It seems my woman had been slacking, thinking she was taking on some low-level loser. Now that she knows the person is as skillful as her, she is giving it her A-game.

“A ghrá.”

She glances up at me.

“It’s time. You need to go to Bash now and tell him everything. Remember what I told you.”

She nods. She doesn’t like it, but she nods nevertheless. As soon as we realized this guy was listening to us through our phones and watching through my cameras, we have been careful. The only electronic in this room right now is her laptop, which she assured me cannot be hacked again. Especially since she isn’t trying to hack them anymore.

As she gets up and gets ready to leave, I pull her back toward me.

“I love you. Whatever happens, I love you.”

She leans up, stealing a kiss. “I love you, Killian. If you can get us all out of this unscathed, I’m going to marry your stubborn ass.”

My smile is immediate. “I’m going to hold you to that.”

“God, I hope so.”

I watch as she leaves, blowing me a kiss before she goes.

I watch her body slump as soon as she passes through the door.

My heart aches to pull her back in here and hide her from this, but I know her. If we do nothing, those children will die. She would never forgive herself for that. Even though she said she would give up Bash for me, I know she wouldn’t want to see him dead either.

Conor comes to the door then.

“Pockets,” I order.

He turns them all inside-out, showing them empty. Once inside the room, he brings a folder over to me.

“I think I found him. We just needed the right direction.”

I look down at the folder in front of me.

Thomas Bradley Henderson Jr.

I glance through the info and see why he seems so sure.

“Do we have a location on him?”

“He vanished after his father’s suicide.”

“We don’t have much time. Pull in whatever resources you need but be wary. I’m starting to think the facade of someone within the organization stealing from us was just that. A facade, but we can’t be certain. He may have an inside man.”

“Understood. What’s the plan?”

“We wait on the call. I trust Greer to follow through on her end.”

Taking a deep breath,I step out of my car.
