I look at it a moment before I let mine slip inside hers.

This may not be a good idea, but if we don’t explore these feelings we have, we will always wonder what could have been.

So instead of listening to the warning bell in my head saying we are moving too fast, I let it happen.

“Let’s have an adventure.”

Indoor skydiving was my idea, so Drake let me take the lead.

Not that he wouldn’t have if it was his idea. Drake is such a giving man. He often lets me make decisions for us even if he doesn’t fully agree. It’s one of his best traits, but also something I tell him to work on at the same time. He cares so much that he won’t vocalize when he would rather do something else. His subdued personality counters my more boisterous one, but sometimes I worry I’m overwhelming him.

He’s never complained though. It does have me worried about Aurora though. How will she react?

So far, she has gone along with it. Joking and laughing on the ride over here.

I look over to where she’s putting on the skydiving outfit across from me. She’s as pretty as the princess she’s named after. I swear it’s like God handpicked her to be the most gorgeous person on this earth. Then he put her in our path.

“You can stop staring. She won’t disappear.” Drake elbows my side.

I flash him a smirk. “As if you can take your eyes off her? Don’t kid yourself. We are both obsessed.”

He shakes his head. “We can’t move too fast, dude. I love you and you know that, but you jump headfirst. If we move too fast, we might spook her.”

I nod. “I know. I’m going to go slow. I promise.”

He slaps my shoulder before turning to finish getting ready. I move toward Aurora, frowning as the instructor moves to help her zip up.

“Oh, better move your hair. Wouldn’t want those beautiful locks to get tangled in the zipper.” The man chuckles.

Aurora smiles at him, moving her hair. I barely resist the urge to growl as I slide up next to her.

“Thanks, man. I got it.” I shoot him a wink, making him look confused.

“Of course. Let me know if you need any help.”

Aurora peeks up at me from under her lashes. “He seemed nice.”

Moving my hands into her hair, I hold it up as I zip her up. Then I lean into her ear.

“Is that what you like? Some fuckboy who is only looking to bag the prettiest girl he’s ever met? If so, I can call him back over. I’m sure he would be happy to entertain you for a night.”

She leans back a little until her body is pressed against my chest.

When she whispers, I barely hear her. “He’s not what I want.”

Pressing my nose into her neck, I take in her sweet scent. She smells like a cupcake. One I want to eat very much.

“What do you want?” I growl against her throat.

She shivers before looking over her shoulder at me, her eyes then flitting to Drake. “I’m not sure, but it isn’t him.”

Before I can say anything else, the instructor speaks up. “All right. Are we ready for this?”

He quickly goes through his safety spiel once again. We have already sat through a class-like lecture on what to expect and what to do and not do.

When it’s time to go in, Drake looks to me.
