Page 45 of Scandalous

Looking over at the clock, I see it’s seven in the morning. I don’t have to be at the restaurant until three and then I work until ten. If I was smart, I would go home now and would work on some assignments, so I would be ahead when spring break ends.

But you don’t want to.

A knock at the door echoes through the room, making me cringe. Getting up, I look through the peephole to find the bellboy with our tray.

“Hi.” I smile as I pull open the door. “If you could put it right over there, that would be great,” I say, pointing next to the table.

“Sure thing.” The guy smirks as he passes.

While he sets everything on the table, I pull out two twenty-dollar bills from my purse.

He turns toward me once the cart is empty. “Need anything else?”

“No, that should do it,” I say, holding out the tip.

The kid is too busy staring at my bare legs to notice the tip.

“Is that the food, babe?” Drake asks from behind me, catching me off guard as he sets his hand on my hip.

It takes all of my self-control not to jump at his touch. I never heard him leave the bedroom.

“It is.” I smile over my shoulder.

Drake leans down and kisses me softly. All too soon, he pulls away and smirks at the bellhop. “Thanks for the food, man.”

“Uh-huh,” the bellhop mutters as he grabs the tip and the cart and leaves.

When the door clicks shut, Drake laughs. “That guy liked what he was seeing.”

I roll my eyes. “Good morning.”

Drake leans down and kisses me again before resting his forehead on mine. “You know, when I woke up without you between us, I was afraid you had left.”

“Can’t get rid of me that easy,” I tease.

Drake laughs and pulls away. “How about you go wake Liam up so we can eat before this food gets cold.”

“Yes, sir,” I say sarcastically as I walk toward the bedroom.

Whack!

Drake slaps my ass, making me squeal as I pass by. I can’t help but smile at the sound of Drake’s laughter bouncing off the walls.

She’s not wearing panties.

I’m sure of it.

I watch Aurora walk away until she disappears into the bedroom to wake Liam. Shaking my head, I run a hand over my mouth. When I woke up and she wasn’t in bed with us, I instantly thought the worst. That she snuck out while we were sleeping. That we pushed her too far, and she was ashamed of what we did.

Then I heard her talking to someone in the living room and a man responding. I barely remembered to grab a pair of sweatpants on my way to investigate. The kid was staring at her so hard he didn’t even see me approach her.

Thinking about the look of disappointment on his face makes me chuckle.

Poor kid was hoping she was alone.

Too bad for him. She’s already been claimed.
