“Sneaky boy.” Daddy tried to frown but hewas smiley. “You found it.”

Daddy wrapped me up tight. “Don’t getdistracted and lose me. I wander off if you don’t watch me.”

Silly Daddy.

Hmm.

Distracted Daddy.

He liked people.

Head kisses for good boy nods. “Thank you.”

Daddy looked at Counter man. “The back room?”

Hmm. Hmm. Point. Point.

“Yeah, there’s a group of littles and pupsback there. It’ll be out of the way and there are a few oversized chairsthat’ll make it easier to feed him in.” Counter man chuckled as Daddy raisedhis eyebrow and gave him a thinky look. “I was given thorough instructions onwhat to do if you guys came up to the bar.”

Daddy sighed.

Daddy rolled his eyes.

“Drama queens have to stick together.”

Counter man laughed. “You don’t even knowthe half of it.”

Fancy man was a drama queen too?

No.

Fancy man was nice and liked toys.

“I have my hands full with this one, so I’mjust going to take your word on it.” Nods. Waves. Milk. “Thanks.”

Daddy worries.

“Alright, you’re going to stick with me andwe’re going to walk together. No getting distracted by the plants or the peopleor the floor.” Daddy looked at my spoon and my elephant. “How about you let mecarry one of those?”

No.

Daddy sighed. “Alright. But if I have topick you up because you started to wander off then they go back in the bag.”

Magic bag.

Good boy.

Good boys get cookies from the magic bag.

“I’m not sure I like that expression.”Silly Daddy was pretending to be stern Daddy. “You’re up to something.”

Yes.

Cookies.

“Giggling like that only makes you soundlike a supervillain in a cartoon show.” Suspicious Daddy. He was smart. “Stillnot looking innocent.”

Cookie thief villain.
