No.

He wasn’t the tail type.

The wonderfully oversized sub was too nervous to stay in one place and hadn’t even gotten himself a snack yet.

Ah.

He was adorable as he backed himself into a corner and ended up falling into an oversized chair that was actually big enough to hold him. “I…I’m not…”

Not dominant to tell me no but did he have a safeword?

Well, there was no time like the present to find out, so I sat down on his lap and gave him what was supposed to be a sweetbut excited smile. “Hi. I’m Dally. Do you have a safeword or do I need to explain what those are?”

As he blinked and found his response, I did my best to keep my hands to myself and didn’t let them wander. I was amazingly patient and didn’t rush him, which should’ve told him what kind of a Dom I was going to be to him.

The best kind.

“I’m…you’re…” He tried to get something out but finally gave me wide eyes and nodded.

Okay, nonverbal communication it would be.

“My shirt has red and green stripes on it. Point to the red one.” Oh, his relief was clear but he was also eager to obey and touched one thin link on my shirt. “Good boy. That’s perfect. Now show me a green one.”

His pink cheeks were almost the same color as the red in my shirt, but he managed to point to the green one without hesitating.

“Wonderful. I’m very proud of you for being able to do that when you’re nervous. I know it’s hard. My friend Milo is a little and he needs a push sometimes to go after what he wants and needs.” Big pushes. “He was here a few weeks ago and met his Daddy. They’re perfect together. Have you ever had a Daddy?”

He seemed like the still looking type so I wasn’t surprised when he shook his head, but I was shocked when he got a full sentence out. “You know I’m not a Dom? Or…or looking to…take charge?”

How had someone misread him that badly?

“Because you lactate people have assumed you must be the Daddy?” Well, based on the current crop of men in the club, I could understand how someone had reached that ridiculous conclusion. His size had probably confused a few people too.

My new friend blinked a few times before slowly nodding. “Yes.”

Oh, words too.

“Good job for using your words, baby boy. Answering clearly is hard, but it’s very important so we don’t have miscommunications.” That would be terrible. “We want to be very clear about our needs and what I’m looking to do with you.”

Hmm.

Blinking again.

“Remember my shirt.” I was going to have to wear it a lot until I was sure he was verbal under pressure. I didn’t have any other ones that had both colors on it. “Red means stop and green means go. No words necessary to make that clear.”

Another nod said some of what I was saying was getting through. “Very good. That was clear too.”

Eager to please was a good sign as long as I was careful.

“I’m very proud of how well you’re doing. I know it’s hard and I surprised you a bit. But I knew you were mine from across the room, baby.” He was just adorable and my mother was going to love him. “May I touch your chest? Are you wearing some kind of compression gear across your chest? I don’t want to make anything difficult for you and no one can control letdown responses.”

Hmm.

Nothing.

Well, he was breathing so that was good.

One finger pointed to green.
