ELI
Eli chuckled at the text on his phone from Jessa. Jackson was right, she didn’t hesitate to brag about beating Jackson in bowling. He couldn’t deny that he was proud of their girl and the way she managed to hustle her Papa, even if it was unintentional at first. That will teach them both that they shouldn’t underestimate either of the twins.
Thinking about them, Eli switched over to the texts he has with Destiny.
Eli: Hi my sweet girl
Destiny: Hey Eli!! How are you?!
Eli: I’m okay, but I would be doing better if I had a certain Little keeping me company.
Destiny: Oh, Jessa is on a date with Jackson. I thought they would have told you that
Eli: I know they are, silly girl. I was talking about a certain Little Wolf
Eli loved the nicknames they had decided on for the twins. Knowing their favorite movie wasThe Jungle Bookit was a simple choice. Jessa being Little Bear and Destiny being Little Wolf just fit them. Together they were Daddies’ Little Cubs and he loved that even more. His phone buzzing pulled him from his thoughts.
Destiny: You mean me?
Eli: I don’t know of another Little Wolf. Do you?
Destiny: No, Sir, I don’t
Eli: Did you have any plans tonight?
Destiny: Nope! I was just going to lay around and read my book. I’ve found a new author to check out and it's been good so far.
Formulating a plan in his head, Eli texted Jackson again before responding to her message.
Eli: How would you feel about having some cubs in the house tonight?
Jackson: Mhm…I’m not opposed to the idea. Whatcha thinking?
Eli: I was considering seeing if I could convince Des to pack a bag for her and Jessa and let me come pick her up. It’s Friday and we didn’t have any plans this weekend.
Eli: We could talk about our dynamic a little more and allow them to experience a weekend in Little space with us to really see if that’s what they want.
Jackson: I think that’s a fantastic idea! I’ll mention it to Jessa as well, but something tells me our Little Bear will love this idea. Good luck convincing the other cub.
Jackson was right, Jessa was definitely the easier twin to talk to about trying new things. Eli had clocked very early that Destiny was Autistic, so he understood that change was hard and she has had a lot of change in her life recently.
Eli: Well, care to make Pop’s heart happy and come spend the evening with me. And maybe even consider staying the weekend.
Destiny: Oh…. uh….
Eli: I’ve mentioned it to Jackson and he said he would talk to Jessa. We would love to have both our cubs with us all weekend. Maybe even give you a taste of what life with us will be like?
Five minutes passed without a single peep from Destiny, Eli’s concern was growing with each passing minute. Before he could text again, her name popped up on his phone.
Destiny: Okay, I think I would like that
Eli: Are you sure? I want you to be completely comfortable with this and if that means holding off a little bit, that’s what we will do.
Destiny: No, really I’m okay with it. I also talked to Jessa and she said she would love to as well.
Eli: I am thrilled to hear that. Pack an overnight bag for you both and I’ll be there soon to get you alright?
Destiny: Yes, Sir! I’ll see you soon
