“Lets take a few days and then we can talk to the girls about everything. It’s all going to work out for the best Jackson. For now though, let's go to sleep. It’s been a long day.” he said, grabbing Jackson’s phone and putting it on the bedside table. Pressing a kiss against his lips, Eli snuggled in beside his husband and drifted off to sleep.

CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE

JESSA

It’s been a week since Destiny voiced her feelings about her sexuality and Jessa was no closer to figuring out a way to help her than she was then. She hated that her sister felt broken and wanted to protect her just as she’s done their whole life.

This wasn’t something that Jessa thought she could protect her from. There was nothing broken about Destiny. Just because she had learned that she doesn’t feel the same as others, doesn’t change that she was still an amazing person.

Everyone has differences, that’s what makes us all unique, and Jessa knew that this was no different. After their Daddies’ dropped them off on Sunday, Jessa sat Des down and they talked about it all. From the first moment that she felt like something was different to the research that she had done.

Destiny had poured over all the websites she could find that would explain why she didn’t feel the same physical attraction that others say they have. She told Jessa, she’d finally come to an understanding that she was Asexual.

Immediately, Jessa took to the internet as well, hoping to find some answers to the questions that were swirling around in her brain when Jessa had told her that. Jessa had found a lot ofgreat information from two different groups,The Trevor ProjectandAVEN.

Both non-profit organizations provided heaps of information not only for the person who was questioning their sexual orientation, but also for their friends and family on how to best support someone who comes out to them.

Jessa worked hard to help her sister understand what was happening, but the only thing Jessa couldn’t reassure her about was Eli and Jackson. No matter how many times she told Des that they would understand, until they all had a conversation, Jessa didn’t believe that Des was going to listen to her.

Jessa knew that the guys should know what was going on, but until Destiny was ready to talk, there was nothing she could do about it. This wasn’t her story to tell, so Jessa just continued to research and reassure her twin that nothing was wrong with her just because she now identified as Asexual.

Next week was the start of the new semester. Destiny begged Jessa to go out and get a few new school supplies, so Jessa found herself standing in the middle of the mall shopping for the things that Destiny needed. Usually she loved back to school shopping, but all Jessa wanted right now was her Pops and Papa.

As if they knew she was thinking of them, her phone buzzed. Clicking into the group chat they all had together, Jessa read the text that Papa had sent.

Papa: Hey my pretty girls, whatcha up to?

Jessa: Not much Papa… Just out school shopping. Destiny had a few things she needed to get.

Papa: I miss those days.

Pops: You just miss having a reason to buy books. You do that now for a living my love.

Papa: Yeah, but they aren’t books that I can keep for myself.

Pops: As if you don’t already have a big library at the house. Such a drama queen

Jessa: Papa I’ve seen your library. You aren’t lacking for books.

Papa: Little Bear! You wound me! I thought you would be on my side.

Destiny: You picked the wrong twin to partner with Papa. Jessa is going to side with Pops about books lol

Papa: Ah… Note to future self: Always bring Little Wolf to my team when discussing books.

Jessa looked up and noticed Destiny fighting back giggles as she stood in line to check out. Her heart warmed seeing her sister so carefree for once. Knowing that Papa and Pops were the source of her happiness right now, made her love them just a little bit more.

Her phone buzzed again as she watched Destiny’s fingers fly over her screen.

Destiny: You’re so silly Papa…. Anyways, what’s up?

Pops: We are wondering if we can come steal our cubs away for dinner at the house tonight. We know once the semester starts it’s going to be harder for us to steal you away.

Jessa: I’m down!! I want some more of Papa’s chicken cobbler.

Destiny: Me too! Pretty please Papa?! Can you please make the cobbler?

Papa: I think I could be persuaded. What does Papa get in return?
