Jessa: How about a cuddle pile with your favorite cubs?
Papa: Deal!
Pops: We will pick y’all up tonight at six. Pack a bag and you can stay the night.
Destiny: Yes, Sir! Miss you!
Pops: Miss you too Little one. We will see you soon
Jessa looked up from her phone just as Destiny walked up with bags in her hands. “Think you got everything you need now?”
“Yep, I do! Only things I’m missing are the textbooks, but Papa told me that they would get those for us since they get a discount for being employees at the college.”
“Sounds good! Let’s go back to Rae’s then. We have bags to pack before Pops comes and picks us up and takes us home.”
“Home?”
Jessa blushed, she had been referring to their Daddies’ house as their home in her mind for awhile now. It just felt right, but now that she uttered the words out loud she couldn’t bring herself to take them back.
“Yeah, home. Home is where I am with Pops, Papa, and you.”
Destiny nodded back at her in agreement and that made Jessa’s heart happy. Knowing that her twin thought the same as her made her feel better about calling their house home.
Jessa stood beside her bed, putting all her things in the bag they were taking over to their Daddies’ house when Destiny sat down on the bed beside her.
“Do you think that I should talk to Pops and Papa tonight?”
Jessa didn’t have to guess what conversation Des was thinking about having. She had been waiting for this moment since Destiny first told her about it.
“Do you think you’re ready for it? Because if you aren’t that’s okay too. You don’t owe anyone any explanations.”
“I think that I am. I want to be open and honest with them about it. I know that I don’t have anything to be ashamed of, but it feels wrong to hide it from two of the most important people in my life.”
Jessa understood where Destiny was coming from. It had been killing her to not say something herself, but she knew that it wasn’t her story to tell and that it would have been wrong to out her sister like that.
“Well, if you think you are ready to come out to them, then I say let’s do it. I’m going to support whatever decision you want to make. I’ve got your back sissy, always!”
She was caught off guard when Destiny threw her arms around her, wrapping her up in a tight hug. Wrapping herarms around her sister, she squeezed her tight knowing that she needed the security in that moment. There was nothing that she wouldn’t do to protect her sister and if that meant standing toe to toe with the Daddies’, well she was up for the task.
Jessa didn’t think that it was going to be a problem though. Deep down, Jessa knew that they would be okay. But, there would always be a small part of her that would be the protector that Destiny needed and she didn’t think she would ever move past that feeling.
CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO
DESTINY
Destiny was a nervous wreck as she sat at the dinner table surrounded by her family. She, just like Jessa, had started calling this home and was terrified that sharing her newly discovered sexuality was going to ruin it.
The logical side of her brain tells her that if the men truly care about her like they have been expressing to her over the time they have been together, they will be understanding.
The logical part of her brain though, loses out to the other part that says this is all going to blow up in her face. Destiny’s tummy has been in knots since making the decision to say something, and it was making it hard to eat her dinner.
Trying not to bring attention to her lack of appetite, she made sure to continue to push the food around on her plate and take a bite or two each time she caught one of the Daddies’ looking her way.
“How about after dinner, we all go into our room and snuggle on the big bed and watch a movie?” Papa asked after a few moments of silence. Up until now Jessa had been her saving grace, making sure to keep the conversation flowing.
“I think that would be a fun idea.” Pops agreed.
Now was her chance. If she didn’t say anything in this moment, she would lose her nerve and it would never happen.
