“She passed out, but she’s okay. I caught her before she could hit the ground.”
“Uncle E why in the world would she….”
They heard the strangers' words trail off as her eyes landed on them standing in the doorway.
“Who are you?”
“Olivia! Is that how we talk to people?”
“No, Daddy. I’m sorry.”
Destiny cleared her throat to answer her question since it seemed like the cat still had her twin's tongue.
“Well, uh..,I’m Destiny and this carbon copy standing beside me is my twin sister Jessa.”
“Wait, THE Destiny and Jessa?”
Destiny didn’t know how to answer that question. Who else could they be?
“You’re the sisters. The ones that Rae left behind when the wardens kicked her out.”
A meek reply came from the couch where Raelyn was lying, “Yes, my bestest friends in the whole world.”
Jessa turned and grinned at Destiny as to say ‘I told you so’ before giving Rae the smallest wave.
“What are y'all doing here?”
“Well, we were hoping that you would want to see us.”
The room quieted after Jessa whispered her reply. A heavy weight settled on Destiny’s shoulders as she waited for Rae’s reply.
“Of course I would want to see y’all!”
Destiny let out the breath that she didn’t even know she had been holding onto. She didn’t realize just how much she wanted her sister to want them in her life until that moment.
CHAPTER TWO
JESSA
After being introduced to Olivia and her Daddy Miles before they left for home, the twins settled on the couch and looked at their sister curled up like a cat against Emmett. Jessa couldn’t help but feel a little strange sitting here in silence, but she refused to be the one to speak up and say anything.
That wasn’t normal for her since she was the outgoing sister, but who could blame her. It’s not like this is a situation that many people face all the time.
“I never thought I would see y'all again after the wardens kicked me out. I’m sorry for my reaction, but who could blame me.”
Jessa snickered at Rae’s comment. No one really could blame her for passing out. She wanted to pass out still, but she knew that would only cause problems.
“Wait, how did you know where I lived?”
Jessa turned her head towards her twin. Destiny raised her eyebrow and Jessa figured that the brave D was gone and this conversation was going to fall onto her shoulders.
That was probably for the best since it was because of her that they were even here. She was the one who did the majorityof the Facebook stalking. She knew that Destiny had done her fair share of stalking as well, but she would never admit to it and Jessa wasn’t going to point it out.
Clearing her throat and taking a small sip of the water that Emmett had placed in front of them after everything had settled down, Jessa answered the question her sister had uttered.
“Well, I may or may not have done some extreme stalking on social media.”
Raelyn’s eyes widened at her comment.
