“Um.” I'm having a hard time trying to think about what I can say to follow that. “You can feed from me anytime you need.”
Oh, that is so not what I meant to say, but it just kind of word vomited out anyway.
“Oh?” His grin spreads across his face in a wicked way. “Anytime?”
Luckily, I don’t have to respond right away because Mary pops up out of nowhere with our lunch on a tray.
“Classic spaghetti and meat sauce! The sauce on the side with the meatballs. I also included some butter if you don’t like the sauce.” She places the plates in front of us with the butter in between us. “If you need anything else, just call! Enjoy!”
“Saved by the meaty sauced balls,” I grumble as I take some of the butter to lather onto the noodles. I pass the meat sauce over to Dorian.
Dorian chokes on the water he’s taken a sip on. “Meaty sauced balls?” Somehow, he’s taken my oh so innocent comment and turned it dirty.
I take a bite of my food and just look at him. I'm not going to comment. No comments. None whatsoever.
“Mmm. More red sauce for me? How kind. I can’t wait to taste yours.” Dorian licks his fork.
Annnddd I spit the noodles out I’ve been chewing. Luckily, I manage to keep the gross, chewed up food contained within the napkin I manage to hold up just in time. A few thumps to my chest and I'm back to normal. Besides my face being bright pink.
I narrow my eyes as I look at him. “Just remember that turnabout is fair play.”
“Oh, my dear, I look forward to it.” His voice has lowered in a purr.
I'm done for. If the other two have the same effect on me that Dorian has with just his voice? I'm just going to lay back and let them have at me.
