Epilogue

The Silver Springs Hop Dance is in full swing. I stand next to the grand centerpiece with my left palm against the trunk. The red banana tree basically hums in excitement from all the attention. It had grown beautifully. It now touched the ceiling and was almost fifteen feet wide.

The buffet tables surround the trunk in a beautiful display of food and flowers. The sky flower vines have wound themselves around the tables, blooming open amongst the platters of food.

The dessert table is the most attractive out of all the tables. Buttercup’s Bake Shop has been hired for that table. All of the pastries look like real flowers. Even her macaroons; she’s somehow managed to make them look like lilies.

My eyes roam around the room. So many of the townspeople have gone all out for tonight. Amber is dancing with Wes. Sage is even on the dance floor with a beautiful dress that flares out every time she spins.

Each of my mates look amazing. Dorian has decided to wear a white tuxedo with light blue embroidery along the vest. The embroidery is of iris flowers. I teared up when he came out of the room in it. I promised him I’d rock his world later tonight.

Noah is wearing a deep blue tuxedo that clings to all of his muscles. He’s even gelled his hair back. He and Dorian are dancing the waltz together. Seeing them together makes my heart flutter. They are falling in love with each other, just as much as I'm in love with them.

Kieron is wearing a black suit, since he is technically on the job. He is wearing those ridiculous sunglasses with the ear piece. He has promised to wear them later after Dorian has his way with me. I plan to tell each of them that I love them tonight.

“The flowers are stunning.”

I jolt as my attention is brought back to the tables. Buttercup is standing in front of me. She has her hair down in waves. A buttercup flower pin holds back some of her hair behind her right ear. She is wearing a beautiful dress with tropical print that cling to her curves while it flares out around her hips. it's an off-shoulder neckline. There are slits on the front of either side of her legs, showing off her legs in strappy white heels. It also gives a peek look at her upper thighs. She is gorgeous. Mouth dropping, actually.

“Buttercup. Have you looked in the mirror? The flowers have nothing on you!” I walk over to her to give her a hug. “Do you have a few minutes? I have a present for you and I’d like to give it to you before I forget.”

She squeezes me back. “Thank you!” She blushes. “I wasn’t sure I could pull this dress off, but I think I’m doing a pretty good job of it.” We step back from each other. “And a gift? You didn’t need to do that.”

I grin. Yes, I did. If anyone deserved to be happy, it's Buttercup. Sage gave it to me; I'm going to make sure Buttercup is next.

“I did. And after I pass you the gift, we’ll come back in here and party all night. I can’t wait to get some of that fairy wine. Also, this dessert table is almost too pretty to eat any of it. Almost. I plan to try one of each tonight. If not more. This fat girl loves her sweets.” We both giggle at that. “Come on. Let’s hurry back because that hunky new bartender from Vee has been eyeing you like you’re a cream puff he’d love to enjoy.”

Buttercup squeaks looking over her shoulder at the guy I'm talking about as I drag her off to the coat room where we both left our bags.

“You mean Logan?” Her face is red and it matches her dress perfectly.

“Yup. Logan. The new bartender, right?” We stop in front of the human who is in charge of watching the coat room contents. “Hi, could you please get both of our bags?” I hand him my ticket, along with Buttercup.

“What do you mean he was looking at me?” Buttercup stumbles over her words adorably. “I’ve only talked to him a few times!”

I grin. “So? He’d be a fool not to look at you like he was. Maybe you should let him ask you to dance.”

The human comes back with both our bags. I take mine, digging to the bottom to grab Love Blooms.

“I... I guess I could try. I can’t dance very well. At all.” She is panicking.

“Just cast a spell so you don’t step on anyone's toes. That should work, right? That dress needs to be seen on the floor. You need to be seen shaking your booty on the floor.” I pull out the book, handing it to her. I ended up reading it last night through to the morning. “This is a really great book. I thought you’d like it. I just finished it. It’s got everything we girlies love. Comedy, despair, sex, violence, sex, and explosions.”

Buttercup purses her lips in amusement. “I’m pretty sure several of those are just what you love.”

I shrug good-naturedly as she takes the book. Her fingers run down the spine. “C.C. Pine. I’ve never heard of them.” She puts the book in her bag.

My job is done. At least for this. We hand back our bags to the human and turn to go rejoin the party.

“That might be their first book, but I promise you, it’s worth the read.” Especially if it keeps its mate spell every time someone reads it.

When we get back into the party room, the music has kicked up into a fast beat. Several couples are doing the tango.

That’s when Logan comes up to us. He is damn hot in his slacks with his shirt sleeves rolled up to his elbows showing off his tattoos. It looks like he might be tattooed all over. He has a strong chiseled face with a high forehead. His hair is shaved on both sides with his top set up in spikes. The tips are a dark red. He has gauge earrings that are fairly big, but fit his face.

Man, if I didn’t already have my mates, I might have fought her for this guy. Instead, I wink at her, give her a tiny push toward him, and go looking for my men.

“Treat her right, sexy man. She’s a precious treasure,” I mumble under my breath as I pass Logan.
