“Exactly like that. Let me know if you want help doing it.” She tilted her head to the side. “It’s time for me to get back home. Iris is hopeless without my help in the greenhouse. Later.” She swaggered out the door, her curly hair flouncing everywhere.
I finished up closing and headed back home. It was going to be an interesting next few days. That was for sure.
Chapter 10
“Welcome!” Maya had her walk out basement french doors wide open. “Come in, come in.” Her monkey eating a Pop-Tart printed leggings were bright neon. I had to blink a few times.
“Why are you a morning person?” I chugged down my black tea.
“The early worm gets the bird.” Her cheerful tone grated on my ears.
“Wait. That’s not the saying.” I set my thermos on a table near the door. “Where are the kids?”
“They’re finishing their breakfast before coming down.” Maya handed me a mat. “Set up wherever you’d like.”
“Maya!” Quinten came through the doors with his arms spread. “You look great!”
Maya hugged him, laughing. “Quinty! Look at how tall you’ve gotten.”
He snorted. “You just saw me last week.” He turned as Eirlys walked inside with a mat under her arm. “This is Eirlys.”
“Oh my. Your aura is gorgeous!” Maya pulled her into her arms, smushing Eirlys in her boobs. “Welcome to Goat Salutation Yoga Studio!”
I snickered softly as Quinten went to separate Maya from his mate.
“Aunt Cid!” a soft female voice called out.
Riley, the only girl of the kids, came running into the room. I swept her up into my arms.
“Hey, little fish.” Her nickname came when I’d caught her talking to her goldfish a few years ago. “You ready to kick your brothers’ butts in today’s session?”
“You know it.” She grinned, one of her front teeth was missing.
“Good.” I set her down. “Go shift, little fish.”
She ran back up the stairs yelling for her brother, Eli.
“Alright.” Maya clapped her hands together. “Let’s get everyone set up before the rest of the class arrives.”
I was setting up my mat next to Eirlys when a shiver went down my spine. I glanced over my shoulder and smiled as Titus walked in. He was wearing loose grey sweatpants that made my mouth water. His shirt clung to him as he walked over to us.
“Hello, my fox.” He pressed a kiss to my lips gently. “Hello, little snowdrop.” He looked at Eirlys gently before narrowing his eyes at Quinten and her two other mates that had come with. “Rattos.”
I choked on my laugh as Eirlys smacked his arm. “Titus! Be nice!”
He scoffed before setting up his place next to me as more supes started filing through the door for the class. Maya had two sessions a day. The morning was for supernaturals while the afternoon was for humans or supes.
“Namaste, my beautiful beauties.” Maya stood in front of the class, starting her spiel. I glanced at Titus in the corner of my eye, he winked at me cheekily and I smiled.
“Let’s start with mountain pose.” Maya put her hands above her head as the class began copying her movements. “This is a time of reflection. Focus on your breathing. The goats will be down momentarily.”
My muscles warmed as we moved through the poses. By the time we had gotten into plank, the clatter of hooves came rushing into the room.
Four baby goats of various colors started sniffing at the clients. Riley, a light brown with spots, came to butt gently against my forehead with her head. Her tiny tail wagging crazily.
Another goat, about twice her size, ran in front of the class, and jumped on his mother’s back. Maya didn’t even bat an eye as she transitioned to the next pose.
“Yes, yes, Cole. You’re the king of the studio. We get it.” Maya moved into downward dog pose, making Cole jump from her.
