As darkness finally settles over Everwood, we climb into the truck and head to town hall. Logan, always a proper gentleman, insists on opening my door for me to exit his truck and I happily oblige. We walk around to the bed of the truck to unload supplies and are happy to be greeted by other welcoming faces of townsfolk helping bring supplies and prepare for our journey. Logan hands me the shotgun and bag of ammo with a kiss on my cheek, then takes a few bags filled with snacks and hiking supplies onto his own shoulders.

“Ready, my love?” he looks at me questioningly.

I nod my head, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness coiling in my stomach. This journey will be dangerous for everyone, but I know we'll come out stronger on the other side. With Logan leading us, nothing feels impossible.

The town hall looms before us, its sturdy brick walls and tall windows illuminated by the warm glow of lantern light spilling from within. The moment we step inside, I can barely believe my eyes. The bustling room is filled with people from all walks of life - townspeople, wolf shifters, and witches alike, all gathered to prepare for the journey ahead. Murmurs of anticipation and determination echo through the air.

"Wow," I breathe, awestruck by the sea of faces. "I didn't expect so many people to be here."

"Neither did I," Logan admits, his amber eyes scanning the crowd. "This is... incredible."

As if sensing our surprise, Bonnie approaches us with a knowing smile. "It seems that everyone in Everwood wants to help break this curse, dear," she offers warmly.

"Thank you, Bonnie," Logan replies, smiling with gratitude. It means more than words can express to have their support, especially after discovering my own connection to this magical world.

"Are you ready to join us, Emily?" Bonnie asks, her eyes twinkling with excitement.

"Absolutely," I answer firmly, my determination shining through. I want nothing more than to do my part in breaking the curse that has plagued this town for generations.

"Alright then," she nods approvingly. "Let's get started."

We lay our supplies on the tables in the back and quickly find Ethan and Callie who are chatting by the podium in the front of the room.

Ethan and Callie turn to greet us with smiles on their faces, their expressions quickly turning to surprise as the town hall fills with people.

“Damn, this is quite the turn out, huh?” Ethan says placing a hand on Logan’s shoulder.

“Yeah this is pretty unexpected, but I’m grateful for their help. I have a feeling we’re really going to need it.”

Logan takes my hand and leads me to our seats, his touch bringing me comfort and warmth despite the coldness in the air. I can feel Logan's hand tighten around mine, his thumb rubbing soothing circles against the back of my hand. I know he's worried about me, worried about all of us, but I can see the determination in his eyes. He's ready for this, ready to do whatever it takes to save his pack and our town.

The witches begin to speak, their voices low and solemn as they explain the dangers of the forest and what to expect. Finally, Bonnie stands up in front of the room to welcome everyone and explain the curse that has plagued the wolf pack for years.

“Thank you, everyone, for standing with the guardians of our beloved Everwood as we prepare for such a perilous journey. Breaking this curse will be a dangerous task that isn’t to be taken lightly. I want you all to know exactly what lies ahead so you can decide if you really want to join us or not. We’ll only have until the Reaping Moon starts to set tonight, so we’ll need to get ready and move quickly.”

I scan the room, sensing the energy shift with the weight of her words. Everyone’s gaze is fixed on Bonnie intently as she talks. But no one is leaving the room, so that’s reassuring.

The air crackles with energy as everyone present understands the gravity of her words. Finally, the witches finish their speech and the room erupts into a flurry of cheers and activity. We wade into the throng of people, and I feel invigorated to be among them as they bustle about, organizing supplies and discussing strategies. Despite the weight of the task at hand, there is an undeniable energy that pulses through the room, igniting my enthusiasm.

The witches begin inspecting their ingredients for the ritual and checking off their list. The townsfolk grab gear and supplies, checking weapons and making sure we're all prepared for what's to come. Logan and I head toward the tables to help check off supply lists and take inventory of what else we still need.

"Emily, can you help me with these potions?" Callie calls out, waving me over to a table laden with glass vials and jars filled with shimmering liquids.

"Sure thing," I respond eagerly, making my way over to her.

"Alright, these are for healing, and these are for protection," she explains, pointing to separate clusters of vials. "We'll need to distribute them to everyone before we set off."

"Got it," I nod, picking up a handful of the vials and carefully placing them into my satchel. As I work alongside Callie, I can't help but marvel at how far I've come since arriving in Everwood. Gone is the city girl who only knew journalism and fast-paced living; here, I’m embracing a world of magic and mystery I never could have imagined.

"Thank you, Emily," Callie says as we finish packing the potions. "I know this is all new to you, but you're doing great."

"Thanks," I smile, glancing over at Logan who is deep in conversation with Ethan. The sight of him, so strong and determined, fills me with pride. We’re in this together, and I know that no matter what obstacles lie ahead, we will face them head-on. Together, we will break this curse with a love that transcends our wildest dreams.

"Alright, everyone, gather 'round!" Logan's authoritative voice cuts through the bustling town hall, immediately commanding attention. I watch as he strides confidently to the center of the room, his amber eyes burning with determination. Bonnie joins him, her silver hair a stark contrast against her rich brown skin and Logan's chestnut locks.

"Thank you all for coming," Logan begins, addressing the assembled crowd. "We need to make a plan for our journey into the heart of the forest. With your help, we'll break this curse once and for all." He looks around at the eager faces surrounding him before turning to Bonnie. "I think we should start by discussing the necessary supplies and making sure we have them all."

"Agreed," Bonnie replies, nodding. "We'll need enough food, water, and medical supplies, of course. And we mustn't forget the magical potions Callie and Emily have been preparing." She glances over at me, and I feel my cheeks flush with pride.
