Once her screams get too loud for me to even think, I clamp a hand over her lips, holding her wrists in my other.

I watch as Quin moves to the other side, repeating the process, his fingers sliding into the blood. He inhales the metallic scent, and eventually I notice that Anna’s gone quiet. Sometimes I’m just so focused on him—his face, movements, and reactions, that I don’t even think about what’s actually happening. I just see him.

He stares into her glazed eyes, fingers wrapped around her throat. The way he kills feels so intimate sometimes. I know I’m not one for rationality, but part of me feels jealous. Like I want him to cut me open and stare at me the way he does his victims. I want to be on the other side of his attention. No matter the outcome.

My heart thumps in my chest as he continues to smear the blood around her neck, the tension in his body releasing.

I release my hold on her. She’s not going anywhere now.

“Fuck me.”

Quin’s eyes find mine. “What?”

“Fuck me. Right now. You’re probably hard anyway. With the way you were looking at her. At her blood. Fuck me, Quin.”

He begins to shake his head, an exhale on his lips. “Kaspian.”

I stand up, staring down at him until he gets to his feet. “Do you get off more on killing than you do when you fuck me?”

Quin makes a noise in the back of his throat. “You’re fucking crazy.”

I grab his throat. “You’re fucking right.”

He wraps his fingers around my wrist, yanking my hand away. “I’ve told you the release I feel with killing is different. I don’t want to fuck my victims.” The words drip with disgust. “But you want me to fuck you?” he questions, holding my arm up. “You see this blood on you? You want me to rub her blood all over your body? Touch your cock with it? You wanthermixed withus?”

I go quiet, beginning to see where he’s coming from.

Quin leans in, nuzzling his nose against my jawline before his lips are at my ear. “You know I only want to fuck you. You’re my twisted little nightmare. Only you get my cock hard.”

I begin to melt, my arm wrapping around his waist. “Quin.” His name is a whimper.

“Let’s clean up, then I’ll give you the attention you need.”

He bites my neck, and I moan like a whore.

“Okay, but quickly.”

CHAPTER FIVE

QUIN

It takes longerthan Kaspian likes, but we eventually get Anna wrapped up and any mess cleaned up before driving her RV toward the area where he and Robert last were.

They had come across a strip of land that jutted out into the frozen lake, and that’s where we find his body. He’s face down with blood soaked into the snow beneath him.

“Neck?” I ask.

“Yeah. From behind.”

“Let’s get some blankets and wrap him up and put him in there with her.”

“How’d he let it slip?” I ask as we work to lift his body onto the dark sheet.

“He said Anna would love it out here. When I questioned who he was talking about, he made up a sister. He really wasn’t a good liar.” His body lands with a thud, and we begin rolling him up. “Then he kept looking at me as he was texting. I knew something was up, but I played it off. I was like, you should take a picture for your sister. And he was like,no, it’s okay. You ready to lift?” he asks me, taking a break in his story.

“Yeah.”

We heave the body up and walk toward the RV, and he continues talking.
