What are you doing to me?
What were they doing to each other?
“You need to go,” she whispered. “You can’t be here.”
“You keep saying that.” He trailed a finger over her ear and down the side of her neck. “Are you sending me away?”
“We never shared a day chamber, and I don’t imagine you want to start now.” Tatyana, flush with pleasure and hungry for blood, felt her head swimming. “You need to go before dawn because I’m going to wake up hungry, and I don’t want you here.”
It was a lie, and from the sly smile flirting at the corner of Oleg’s mouth, he knew it as well as she did.
She wanted him. She wanted him in her bed. She wanted to wake at dusk, sink her fangs into his neck, and ride him until her head exploded.
She wanted his blood in her veins, and the sheer ferocity of that desire had her stepping away from him.
“As you wish, little wolf.” Oleg reached down and grabbed the sopping-wet black canvas pants that were pooled on the floor of the shower. “But I’ll be back.”
“You’re risking a huge problem with Radu and Kezia if you even try to?—”
“I’ll be back.” He hooked his forearm around her neck, pulled her into his chest, and pressed his lips to hers in a long, mind-spinning kiss that had her stumbling back when he released her. “Not tonight. But tomorrow night I will be back. And we will…”
Do this all over again?
“We will talk.” Oleg lifted his chin and pinched her chin between his fingers, angling her face up to his. “Yes, I believe we have things to discuss.”
“Talking is overrated.” She crossed her arms over her chest, suddenly feeling exposed. She reached over and turned off the shower, leaving both of them soaking wet and dripping.
“Hmm.” Oleg rolled his shoulders back, and in a ripple of elemental power, the water that had dotted his shoulders turned to steam. “We shall see.”
He leaned down and breathed warm air over her neck, licking out and giving her shoulder one last kiss before he turned and walked out of the shower, leaving her alone.
Tatyana reached over and grabbed for a large bath sheet, but by the time she walked out of the washroom, Oleg was gone.
Chapter 23
Oleg
He dropped to the ground and rolled under her travel trailer a moment before a Hazar landed on the grass in front of the door.
There was a quiet knock. “Miss Vorona?”
Oleg froze, curious what she would do.
The door opened. “Yes?”
“Are you safe?”
“Quite safe, thank you.” Her voice held just a bit of arrogance. “A friend of mine just left. Is there a problem?”
No doubt the Hazar had noticed the explosion of elemental energy coming from Tatyana’s trailer—a blind human probably could have felt the power of their combined climax—but the wind vampires had no idea who or what was causing the explosion in Tatyana’s trailer, and they knew it wasn’t any of their business.
The feet stepped back. “Of course not, Miss Vorona.”
“Thank you for checking on me.” Her voice warmed a little bit. “I appreciate your concern.”
“Of course, surati.”
“Good night.” She shut the door, and moments later the Hazar flew away.
