’Looks like it's gonna be a good fight,’ I comment.

Sie nods and gives a non-committal grunt, taking a long gulp of his beer.

‘You ever think of getting back into it?’ I ask him. He used to be big into the cage fighting a few years back, but, out of the blue, he quit. Never told any of us why.

He gives a tiny shake of his head that I’d have missed if I’d blinked, and he doesn't say anything else.

‘So you and the new girl, huh?’ I side-eye him and watch his jaw tighten.

Oooh, what did he do?

‘Nope,’ he says, ‘I can't stand that little human bitch.’

I give a short chuckle. ‘My mistake.’

‘Riding with her on your hog the other night give you a taste?’ he prods, but I don't rise to the bait.

‘Yep,’ I say. ‘Had that tight little ass rubbin’ all over my lap the entire way back. I can't wait to take her for another test drive.’

‘Well, you'll get your chance,’ Sie mutters and my ears perk up.

‘What?’

‘Vic’s going to lock her into a contract.’

‘No fuckin’ way! How’s he gonna get her to sign?’

Sie shrugs. ‘How does Vic do anything? I don't fucking know. I don't fucking care either. Don't want anything to do with her. She's trouble through and through.’

I smirk. ‘I like a little trouble.’

Sie gives me an amused snort. ‘Yeah, you do.’

Theo comes through the door and saunters across the warehouse floor to sit at our table.

‘Vic with you?’ I ask.

He shakes his head.

‘Done babysitting for the night?’

‘Shut the fuck up, Paris,’ he says, but he’s grinning. ‘You’re just jealous she's staying in my room. You wouldn't believe what’s she’s done in front of my cameras so far.’

Sie shakes his head. ‘You’re a sick fuck.’

He laughs, but his eyes are hard when they meet Sie’s. ‘At least I didn't assault the girl and almost put the whole MC in a shit ton of hot water. At least I’m not making Vic clean up my mess.Again!’

Sie slams his fist down on the table. ‘Fuck you, Theo.’

He grunts as he stands and leaves the table, his chair toppling over. He makes his way to the edge of the crowd around the ring and melts into it.

The shifter supe is still getting his ass beat. Stupid fuck keeps getting back up, staggering around like a marionet on a string. Fight’s already done. Dumb asshole needs to realize it.

‘Why do you rile him up like that?’ I ask Theo and he shrugs.

‘I'm sick of his shit is all. He's Vic’s lieutenant. Just because they’ve known each other a long time, he thinks he can do whatever the fuck he wants and there won’t be consequences.’

‘He’s suffering,’ I mutter from behind my bottle.
