The club was alive as we pushed past the bouncer and entered the club. They were never really my thing. The vibrating music always hit me in a way that felt like I would have a heart attack at any moment. Don’t get me started on the strobe lights, but this place was the most popular. Majority won, and now I found myself sitting at the bar, downing my third shot of the night.
Nick had left to go call Chloe some time ago, so I was alone, making faces at the bartender as he set down a line and started pouring. “Oh, no no. I’m cutting myself off.”
“The guy across the bar ordered them for you!” he screamed over the music. Already feeling tipsy, I didn’t want to drink anymore, but it would be rude to turn it down. One by one, I tipped my head back and let the burning liquid slide down my throat.
In a few minutes, the guy who ordered the drinks took a place next to me. He wasn’t my usual type. His skin looked clean, free of tattoos, and his hair was long, almost oily looking, and black. I wasn’t sure if it was the alcohol or the fact that the person I wanted pulsing around me wasn’t here.
“I hope you don’t mind forwardness, but I’m quite the fan, came all the way from Crestview to see you all play. And that hat trick, man. Legend,” he screamed.
Well, he sure knew how to make a man feel loved, but Maya was right. I wasn’t sure about him, and I’d had a bit too much to drink. I didn’t want to, and even if I wasn’t drinking, the way I had felt this morning was completely opposite of how I felt after the game. The mystery stranger lifted his hand, signaling the bartender over for four more shot glasses, and I refused.
“I didn’t think Angel Kingston would be such a pussy,” he challenged.
I opened my mouth to speak when I felt a presence next to me. “Hey, why don’t you take a hint and get the fuck outta here. The game is over. You can go home instead of getting my buddy blackout drunk. If that’s the only way you can get someone to have a conversation, then you need to look within, my man.” Nick had a dangerous edge to his tone, and I waved him off.
“Hey man, relax. He was just keeping me company. One more round of shots and then we will leave, okay?” I tried to negotiate with him.
“Angel, he isn’t even someone you would normally go for. No offense man. You have me, you want to go to the hotel and play, fine. Let’s sober each other up and go.”
Nicholas was starting to piss me off. Who was he to…fuck, my mind was getting muddy, and I was slurring. Okay…work brain work. All my senses narrowed on my strained cock, and I wanted to give it a go. I hardly fucked fans, but maybe just this one time, I could step over the line.
Spinning around on the barstool, I faced the gentleman. “If you want to play, then all you have to do is ask, just know I don’t bottom…ever.” Yeah, I’m slurring…fuck…maybe I can sober up by the time we get back to the hotel.
A hand clamped down on my shoulder, and one last time, the club’s music thumped in my ears as Nick spoke. “You call me if you need help, okay? Maya would kill me.”
Nodding, I paid for the bottle on the bar and snagged it away, pulling out my phone to call an Uber.
Pushing my stranger against the hotel room door, I gripped his chin. Our eyes locked, and his eyes matched the intensity of mine as I thought of each way I could take this man. These one-off hook ups were exhilarating, and for once, I wouldn't have to be dominant, just a normal man looking for a night of harmless rough sex with someone new. I loved Lux, and he gave me what I needed, but lately it was like I was more of a bother. He was drifting from me, and I could feel it.
I wished I had at least gotten this man’s name. From the way he flirted in the bar, he seemed to have a lot of knowledge about hockey, and that was what drew me in. This man did not seem like it was something he would enjoy, but I’d be lying if I didn’t say that he was immaculate and extremely detailed in the way he spit my stats. He fed my already enlarged ego, and he deserved a reward for that.
Dipping my head low, I took his lips in mine, using my tongue to part them and explore. His skin was smooth under my fingers as I traced along the sharp jawline. I paused briefly, though. Thisstranger was not the type I usually went for, and my gut was screaming not to cross that threshold, but I ignored it, shoving away the notion just as I’d done with Nick’s warning in the club earlier.
Our tongues danced together, and I released his jaw, moving lower to flatten my palm against his chest, pinning him between the door and my body. Tonight, I just needed harmless fun, finding myself missing Maya just a bit. I would have loved to show her Seattle, but she wouldn’t be able to travel with me as much as I wanted her to. So, I had to settle for this quickie, or playtime with Nick.
I could feel the stranger's heartbeat under my palm, the nervousness that thudded under his ribcage, and my cock twitched in excitement. “You sure you don’t want to tell me your name?” I asked seductively, reaching into my back pocket to grab the key to my room.
My fingers stumbled, trying to get the key in the lock as he licked and nipped down my neck. Holding back a groan when the door beeped, a grin spread across my face as I gripped the collar of his shirt and pushed him inside. My lips slammed on his once again as I kicked the door shut, finding it weird he was so adamant about shielding who he was. Maybe he had people he knew, or a reputation to uphold, so I had no intention of judging a situation I knew nothing of.
A wave of tiredness overcame me as the man stumbled further into the room with me, although I really wasn't feeling well now. His touch became electric, and not in the way that I’d wanted. My heart raced, and I became hyperaware of every movement, including the flickering of the dimly lit lamp on the table. It was as if I could hear the small zaps of the electrical current that ran through.
Pulling me out of the trance, he tugged at my bottom lip and dragged it between his teeth, biting down hard, even for me. A groan of pain sat in my chest and I couldn’t release it.
“Wait,” I managed to breathe, but he didn’t listen.
Hands gripped at my waist, and I loosely caught a pair of thumbs tracing the outer edges of my abdomen. My mouth was dry, and I-I think he started speaking to me. But all I could focus on was how much water I needed, and the waves of nausea I kept swallowing down.
The sound of my belt buckle hitting the floor brought me back to a few months ago with Nick, but this wasn’t the same. My stomach lurched with the intense feeling of fear and regret. How the situation had turned so rapidly, and now there was no way out.
Something…something’s not right.
I swallowed thickly, using my hands to shove him away while I tried to collect myself. I didn’t think I drank that much.Fuck.I’d feel it tomorrow alright. My tired eyes stared at him on his knees, eyeing me from below with a smirk, and I was trying so hard to remember when exactly he even dropped to them. Well, it was fun while it lasted, I guess. But I never fuck this drunk, no matter how much I wanted to.
“You gotta go, I’m sorry.” I swallowed again, barely having any saliva to begin with. “I think I partied a little too hard tonight,” I mumbled, trying to make my way to the bathroom slowly. My body turned on me, my brain refusing to send messages it desperately needed to.
The tile of the bathroom floor felt colder than normal as I slowly moved over them and turned to the mirror. My vision distorted as I tried to find my reflection, waiting for hot steam to billow around the bathroom, and all my senses narrowed in. I’d drunk plenty in my life, and not once had I felt like this before, and I’d gotten pretty fucking drunk. My head snappedup hearing the door slam shut, and I grimaced, good riddance. I doubt he’d want to see me like this anyway. What a boner kill.
Running my hand under the water, it took me a minute to realize the temperature was perfect, and I stepped in. A constant fluttering in my right shoulder had me thinking that I was having a heart attack, and even in the lukewarm water, I found myself sweating. The nausea and dizziness overcame me, and I braced against the wall, letting the droplets of water hit my back. But time almost slowed, and it felt as if the water wasn’t running down my body at all.
