I reached down and ripped at his cock with the knife. It came off in one quick motion. He screamed and screamed, and the water washed the blood down. A few seconds later, and I sliced over his throat and then went for the artery down on his thigh.

“Alright, daddy. I gotta go meet this guy. But you enjoy bleeding out. Lucky you. You won’t have to pay the water bill when someone finally finds your nasty body.”

He wasn’t screaming anymore. He was passed out. Or maybe too weak. I didn’t care. I grabbed a hand towel and dried my knife. No need for rust. Then I wiped the knobs of the shower and kept the towel to get out the front door.

Nothing could make you happier than heading off to right so many wrongs.

Trackingher cell was useful except for the fact I was freaking the fuck out. My guys were following her and doing a pretty fucking decent job. Except, it wasn’t good enough. I wanted to waltz into that fucking bar and grab an asshole. No. Stab. Murder.

A text came through as I glared through a dirty fucking front window.

They’re coming out.

I backed away, around the corner, because if she saw me, there would be hell to pay. Did I care? Not really, but she wasn’t herself. All the crazy she controlled seemed to finally no longer be bottled up.

One hour. That’s all it had taken her to get a guy and dispose of him. The guy had still had a pulse when one of my men found him and left him. This was her second trip back to this bar. What was she doing back here? To anyone who didn’t know her? She seemed like an innocent woman going through a rough time. The bartender said a breakup. Except I hadn’t fucking broken up with her.

Fuck, this was a huge mess.

I needed to sit and figure out all the wedding shit and what the hell to do with my uncle, but I couldn’t even think of that when I was watching the love of my life unravel. And unravel she was doing. My guy had stood outside the last apartment and had heard the faint scream. Halle was being careless.

The pain in my neck had me stopping my own destructive behavior. I hadn’t even realized I’d been rubbing the damn thing so hard. Well, that wasn’t going to release my tension, now was it? I could go for a drink, or just having my girlfriend back.

I peeked around the building and saw her with another guy. This one looked a whole lot more questionable and she? Well, that goddamn dress. Her body was made for sin, but only my sins and here she was walking around with a fucking target on her.

Fuck.

Do you recognize this guy?

I sent a text to my guy. He was one of two that I could trust Halle’s life with. But if I needed to get an entire crew out here, I would.

Fuck my uncle. There was too long of a pause, but I moved across the street, trying to stay far enough away and yet keep her in my sights. The sun was setting, meaning she might get much easier to follow. Her little dot moved on my phone. I had several plans to track her ass just in case she moved out of my sight.

Dark web fucker. Bad shit.

The information in the text about the guy didn’t surprise me. Halle had caught herself an asshole. I wondered if she was aware and if she was in her right mind. There were those she killed that were just assholes that didn’t deserve life. Then there were those that were crazier than her. They shouldn’t live, but I didn’t think she was their grim reaper. Maybe I was wrong.Maybe I didn’t want to find out if she was wrong.

We walked for blocks. This guy had gone pretty far out of his way. I wondered how she got him here. Most of the scum that did business on the wrong side of the law didn’t exactly do so lightly.

My phone vibrated, and I looked down as I waited for them to turn or do something besides just walk. My jaw ached as I threatened to grind my own fucking teeth into dust as I noticed his hand. His hand was on her ass. I loved my knives, but right now? I would consider shooting him to just be done.

Guy at the last apartment. Front man for some illegal stuff. Child stuff.

I rolled my eyes. Halle was doing what Halle did best, and I’d help her if he touched her anymore.

I couldn’t see her from this distance, but the dot on her phone finally turned. I quickened my pace, hating how far ahead I’d allowed her to get. Still, I’d catch up.

“They’re heading towards a warehouse.”

I look over at my guy.

“You finally caught up. How do you know?”

I focused on the space before us. The city just didn’t have the same crowds here. More people sitting strung out on the side of the buildings that had so much graffiti, I couldn’t tell you the actual business names.
